I was thinking about how much "fertilizer" moms have to deal with, and then look what Bella gave me, a handprint art project she made in school for Mother's Day. I'm grateful to be this amazing child's mother.

We are excited to attend later today the 9th Arizona Korean Artist Association's Group Exhibition where my mom is one of the participating artists. We are very proud of her. She re-learned English in her 50's after coming back to the US from Seoul, Korea at the height of an economic crisis in Asia. She wanted to learn to draw so I said "then go take classes to learn". So she did. She attended art classes at Queens College, Hunter College and FIT. She learned drawing, pottery, sculpture and painting. After 15+ years she continues to grow as an artist.
