sometimes when i’m alone, i take the pearl from where it lives in my pocket and try to remember the boy with the bread, the strong arms that warded off nightmares on the train, the kisses in the arena.
how’s that? is that what they want? huh?
Hey! :) I hope you all had a very lovely Christmas!
“‘Never underestimate the power of a brilliant stylist,’ says Peeta. It’s hard to tell, but I think Tigris might actually blush under her stripes.”
“I’ve caught the eye of an inquisitive-looking little girl in a lemon yellow coat. I nudge Gale and slow my pace ever so slightly, to allow a wall of people to form between us.”

“what i need is the dandelion in the spring. the bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. the promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. that it can be good again. and only peeta can give me that.”
Deep...in the woods (Everlark Drabble)
For the anon who sent the following:
“I wish you would write a fic where Peeta and Katniss have sex in the woods and the Jabberjays/Mockingjays imitate their sex noises.”
Warning: Smut and embarrassment, lol.
“Don’t stop…” Katniss said, louder than she’d intended. She was sure they were alone. No one came out in these woods, even if it had been years since the Capital fell. Despite that, she was always careful to not be too noisy, just in case. But today, she felt a little wider than usual. She hadn’t even made a pretext of packing food for a picnic. She wanted to be thoroughly fucked and she wanted to do it in the open air. So by the time they’d made it to their spot and she’d torn off Peeta’s clothes off, she was already on the edge, so close, she could feel her belly clench in that delicious way it had of doing when she was ready to coming undone.
“I’m trying but…Katniss..you’re so…tight and wet…” Peeta grunted from behind her as he plunged into her, over and over, her wet muscles clenching around him, massaging him, drawing him deeper. His fingers dug deliciously into her hips, caressing and kneading the soft swell of her bottom. The ground was hard beneath her knees, despite the thick picnic blanket but she ignored the discomfort as Peeta’s thighs slapped against the back of hers. She was greedy and ready to come - she just needed that one little extra push.
“Peeta, deeper!” she cried out, to which he complied, the sounds of their colliding bodies reverberating through the air. He reached down and rubbed her hard clit, which was all that was needed to finish her off, her spasms causing her to arch back against him. He had no choice but to come also, flicking his hips several times, coming in hot jets before shuddering to a stop over her.
He slipped out, leaving her empty but satisfied. She rolled onto her side and he took up his place behind her, clutching her to him.
“We should picnic more often,” Peeta mumbled into her shoulder, his lips pressed as he sucked on her skin. She was sure he’d leave a mark there.
“Picnic without food,” she chuckled, reveling in his sticky contact, the warm, spring air and the birds, singing above their heads. At first, they sounded melodic before they became loud and insistent, their cacophony of sound resolving around them, forcing Katniss to sit up suddenly, looking around her in panic.
“Peeta, listen…” she hissed.
From the thick branches of the tree above her, she heard them, singing an incantation she knew they would carry for miles around.
“Don’t stop…”
“Katniss, you’re so tight and wet…”
“Peeta, deeper…”
“Mockingjays!” Katniss said, jumping up, trying futilely to shoo them away. “Damned birds!” she shouted, her angry outburst now added to their refrain:
“Don’t stop…”
“Katniss, you’re so tight and wet…”
“Peeta, deeper…”
“Damned birds!”
“Katniss!” Peeta called out, pulling her down to him, “There’s nothing you can do. You have to let them wear themselves out,” he said as the birds chanted above.
“Meanwhile, all of District 12 is going to know what we’ve been up to!” Katniss exclaimed, rushing to collect her discarded clothes and dress quickly. Her pants were still attached by one leg to her foot, and she was missing her other boot. She could barely hear herself think as the birds harmonized each phrase, chasing over each other like an intricate melody. Katniss was sure her head was about to explode.
“You can’t be sure of that. You don’t know how far they’ll pass their song along,” Peeta said soothingly, packing up the picnic blanket and dressing himself also, dusting off the leaves and detritus that had gotten stuck to his clothing.
Katniss stopped and stared at him in exasperation. “There’s a reason those birds were used as Capitol spies. They could repeat a conversation verbatim over and over.”
“Well, those were technically jabberjays. Mockingjays, however…” Peeta chuckled, appearing too smug for Katniss’ liking.
“Shhh! There’s no difference,” she huffed, collecting the last of her scattered items before hiking down the embankment in the direction of Victor’s Village. “Let’s just get home as soon as possible. Maybe we can get away from them…”
As they walked, the birds seemed to follow them with their elaborate melody. Katniss had a brief memory of her time in the Quarter Quell arena, when she was trapped with the jabberjays. They’d nearly driven her insane then and she was sure she’d become mad now. When they finally burst through the gate of Victor’s Village, she was relieved that the sound of their mantra had become non distinct with the other sounds of the woods. Peeta, who had been trailing behind her, came up next to her, swinging his arm over her shoulders. “You see, I told you there was nothing to worry about. They probably already chanted themselves out,” he said with a wicked grin.
“Why do I feel like you don’t understand the gravity of what just happened?” Katniss groused as they made their way up the road of Victor’s Village.
“You worry too much!” he laughed, pulling her towards him. “We should do that again,” he murmured as he nuzzled her ear, to which Katniss responded with a small chuckle of her own. “I love getting behind you and watching your tight little ass bounce in front of me, while I slide in and out of you…”
“You’re filthy,” Katniss said but felt her entire body tingle and come to life. She thought of their soft bed, in their quiet house, how she could go for another round where there were no jabberjays or mockingbirds to terrorize them. But her thoughts were abruptly cut short by the sound of the gruff voice of their old mentor seated on the steps of his home.
“You guys look like you had fun. If you do go out again, next time could you be a little quieter?”

Special dedication to @ask-peeta-mellark and @askkatnisseverdeen, whose antics keep us all well stocked with stories to tell.
And of course, @safeinpeetasarms, who drew a lovely graphic with the same theme and @everlark-sex, of course.
I wouldn’t have any regrets at all, if it weren’t…
Finnick Odair is something of a living legend in Panem. Since he won the Sixty-fifth Hunger Games when he was only fourteen, he’s still one of the youngest victors. Being from District 4, he was a Career, so the odds were already in his favor, but what no trainer could claim to have given him was his extraordinary beauty. Tall, athletic, with golden skin and bronze-colored hair and those incredible eyes. While other tributes that year were hard-pressed to get a handful of grain or some matches for a gift, Finnick never wanted for anything, not food or medicine or weapons. It took about a week for his competitors to realize that he was the one to kill, but it was too late. He was already a good fighter with the spears and knives he had found in the Cornucopia. When he received a silver parachute with a trident—which may be the most expensive gift I’ve ever seen given in the arena—it was all over. District 4’s industry is fishing. He’d been on boats his whole life. The trident was a natural, deadly extension of his arm. He wove a net out of some kind of vine he found, used it to entangle his opponents so he could spear them with the trident, and within a matter of days the crown was his.

"You could live a hundred lifetimes and never deserve that boy."
You know, I think this changes halfway through Mockingjay. Why?
“You’re a painter. You’re a baker. You like to sleep with the windows open. You never take sugar in your tea. And you always double-knot your shoelaces.”
Why do I say it changes here? Because she’s fighting for him now. For the first time ever, she is letting herself notice the little things, the things that make him the person she fell in love with. She’s done so much to push those feelings away - push him away - but here in this moment, she pulls him close (metaphorically speaking of course) and tells him something important. Intimate details of his life. Things she knows because she’s spent time with him. Things she actually cares about. And in this moment, she’s not fighting to keep him alive (because she would be damaged beyond repair if he died) but fighting to bring him back to her, to keep him alive because she can’t live without him. Without him there is no life, that’s why she’s “waiting for something” at the end of Mockingjay, because Peeta gives her a sense of life, of things being better than their current circumstances.
Haymitch says that she could live a hundred lifetimes and never deserve him, she agrees he’s the superior one in the group, and then here…she becomes bigger than her ego, than her hurt feelings, than her broken and fragile heart…and does something for Peeta. I think for the first time ever she has this change of heart, this moment where she deserves him as much he deserves her. Their healing is a joint process. That whatever she’s feeling, however she’s hurting, he’s worth it.
HI LOVELIES IM DONE WITH FINALS AW YESS
Do any of my lovely everlark shippers watch once upon a time and/or ship captain swan? I am not okay after that episode and need someone to cry with.
I need some opinions, if you guys would be interested in helping me! :)
So I’ve been planning multiple Everlark vids once I had Part 2 and I was wondering which ones you guys would like to see first?
I’m doing:
Don’t Deserve You - Plumb
This Love - Taylor Swift
Never Stop - Safetysuit
A hijacked!Peeta vid (need a song though)
Without You - Ashes Remain
And probably a lot more but these are my planned vids for now.
This Love, then Never Stop, then Don’t Deserve You, then all of the videos? :)
Heya, thanks for the feedback! ;D I’ll try and get them done in that order! As of right now I have the most done for Never Stop, but am equally inspired for This Love so I may be putting a preview up soon, lol.
Peeta: You love me, real or not real?
Katniss: Real.
