I woke up feeling rejuvenated after reading poetry last night with Matt Mason for the Imaginary Gardens reading series. Imaginary Gardens is a new series put on by poet Mike Skau. The title of the series comes from Marianne Moore’s suggestion that poems are “imaginary gardens with real TOADs in them.” Even more fitting for the name of the series because the readings take place at Mr. Toad’s Pub in the Old Market.

On such a cold and windy evening, there was nothing better than reading poems in a warm library filled with friends and family and fellow lovers of literature!
