“Growing Around Grief”
Lois Tonkin, 1996
It’s a comforting thought as a Christian that, regardless of what troubles I may meet with in my life, I will always have God. No one and nothing can take Him away from me. Even if I were to lose everything, I would still have my Best Friend in the universe at my side.
“Be someone’s light when they are hopeless.”
— Dave Grohl
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 (via everlastingjesus)
God called us to be people-lovers, not people-pleasers.
Brittney Moses (via daughterbydesign)
Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy.
Robert Tew (via perrfectly)
i think it’s brave i think it’s brave that you get up in the morning even if your soul is weary and your bones ache for a rest i think it’s brave that you keep on living even if you don’t know how to anymore i think it’s brave that you push away the waves rolling in every day and you decide to fight i know there are days when you feel like giving up but i think it’s brave that you never do
Lana Rafaela (via wordsnquotes)
A Godly life is not built in a day, a year, or a single event, but by the daily practice of prayer and renewing the mind in the Word of God.
Paul Washer (via jhchon)
Without holiness, no one shall see the Lord. Jesus didn’t die to save us from hell. That’s a fringe benefit! He died to get total occupation of us. To be holy in speech, in action, in everything. We want to give God our lousy sins. What do you think he does with them? He wants your will. He wants that career of yours. He wants that selfish heart not to live in selfishness.
Leonard Ravenhill (via foundworthy)
I’m no longer a slave to fear; I am a child of God. 🌸
what are you filling your heart with?
this question is so important. (via h-o-r-n-g-r-y)
My emotions have been all over this week and I feel really anxious and scared. Which is so weird because I’ve spent so much time in the word and have had time to spend of self-care. I feel like the devil is attacking this somehow? I would really appreciate your prayers, friends. I don’t want to be sad like this.
