WIP Castlevania Multimuse by Mildew

I'm Mildew (he/it) and welcome to my blog! Most of the characters you'll see on this blog are ones I've written before (hello, anyone from 2019) all neatly compiled in one space so I can muse about them whenever I please. What you'll find here is probably a fair amount of serious and silly, maybe more silly if that's what the dash feels like. I'm 25+, a massive fan of Castlevania and a massive fan of writing in general. I typically go by the "rule of cool" ... or "rule of interesting" straight up and I try to make anything work within reason (I'm a TTRPG DM, I can figure it out!) If you're intimidated by me, I promise I'm just trying to look good for you, so never worry about wasting my time or whether or not I'll play ball on an idea you have.

✙ First things first, I'm not into Netflixvania and won't write with muses from it. If you have mentions of Netflixvania on your blog, whether through characters or aesthetic posts, I still don't mind following but I'll ask you tag "#netflixvania tw" or "#netflixvania cw". If you come up with a tag that better fits your tagging system I can use that, too.

✙ Aside from that, I won't write things such as noncon/pedophilia/incest and I won't follow blogs that consist heavily of those things or make light of/romanticise such topics. I also won't follow Zionists and ask you to steer clear of me.

✙ Okay, heavy stuff out of the way. Not that I expect anyone under 20 to still be on this site (ha ha...) but if you are a minor and I see you interact with anything NSFW or explicitly suggestive, I'm blocking.

the dracula thoughts are flowing. i still havent made his blog for the dbd stuff but.... whatever.... i'll just put it all here in the mean time!

Basically, after symphony of the night, his tether to humanity/the world is completely gone. He was tethered by his rage and this ongoing lie he told to himself that "oh lisa would've wanted this". he hears she didn't from alucard, gives his apology before disappearing for another century....

But when he is reborn again, he's not redeemed. He's completely evolved beyond the limits that held him back, the human rage and love and loss. Now he is entirely detached. He doesn't care, and he's essentially a god/some other eldritch being. He returns to a "stable" state of mind where he's focused on coming across as polite, sophisticated and reasonable while still engaging with passing amusement in murder or destruction. Its like a very intelligent dog being given puzzle toys; reconstructing the castle and all its traps and enlisting his demons from hell to guard it is just a fun exercise for an old strategist's mind.

And in "the fog" of DBD, after he's sealed away by Julius, he is given the novel ability to get close and personal with those he inflicts suffering upon. It's like a little vacation for him, he's having fun.

i was thinking so muuuchhh about julius in dead by daylight. they even mention him by name in dracula's bio... oh maaann. please. IMAGINE the voice lines from dracula to julius....

i got the castlevania special edition piano cover vinyls ... theyre so beautiful. i didnt take a picture of the vinyls themselves but they look like moons and one is bloody.

the new trevor makes me so happy and we finally have proof belmonts can grow beards (netflixvania desnt exist to me) and it didnt just come outta nowhere with julius LMAO

plus i saw the relic you can get with the midnight release (obviously i got it) that is a locket with sypha and trevors pics in it.... i love the look for sypha

I love julius being a dry and sarcastic bastard. He's just been through it all, he's not actually a dad but he really embodies it. And MOST of the time he's serious.... so when he's talking to someone on equal footing as him when not dealing with world-ending vampire shit, he's gonna crack a few subtle jokes.

arikado suffers the most from this. whereas yoko can get him at his own game
