The EN footage starts around 17:00 with Young Blixa from 1982 is believed to be the footage that Nick Cave saw that he described in the essay thistles of the soul, where he described Blixa’s performance as punching him in the dick, I believe. Correct me if I got the verbiage wrong. This is what started at all and paved to the path to Blixa being one of the most iconic Bad Seeds and also one of the the most incredible avant-garde industrial experimental sound artists of our time.

Translation of concert information: A special highlight of the program of our Dada exhibition „'Lock up your head at last!' Dada as political art between the world wars“ is an evening with Blixa Bargeld on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The very name of the musician and author is a homage to the Cologne Dadaist Johannes Baargeld. With the Einstürzende Neubauten, the singer brought Bargeld Dada into the present. In his solo projects he continues the Dada language and thought radicalism.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Ox Fanzine.

Exciting day in the Blixaverse, EN finally reveals their new bassist!

I feel like this is a real return and nod to their early roots when Gudrun and Beate were in the band.

Remembering Miss Anita Lane, Our Lady of the Bad Seeds, one of Beloved Blixa’s favorite collaborators. This relationship doesn’t get talked about enough. They made some damn fine music together. One of my favorite collaborations is the song they Co-wrote about Nick for Nick to sing, Anita doing the lyrics and Blixa, the music. I also loved her in the EN song Blume, the English version.
