I got a photo of everything in Nashville: cranes, traffic, hills, and churches (and there is probably a boot store somewhere down there).

This glorious afternoon had a high of 58 degrees! I ran through Scenic Loop, and now I am enjoying some Stelly Time. Life is so great.
After 50 minutes on the elliptical, Fitbit said I had burned 400 calories. MyFitnessPal only gave me an extra 250. But together, that's 650!
Wednesday, elliptical, feeling the Bern. I spent more time in the Peak heart rate zone on the elliptical than I do on the mill. I feel like I'm going to die on the mill, though, even if I go slow.
Fitbit stats from Sunday's run, and an unrelated picture of iced tea on my desk.
4.5 treadmill miles tonight, and now I'm propped up on the foam roller while I cool off. I ran Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday last week but I'm not sure I posted anything about it. Saturday I got to run my 7.5 mile loop outdoors in 51 degree weather, which I'm afraid we won't have again for several weeks. Winter has been so mild, but of course now it has snowed twice in the one week since I bought my car! It's okay. Spring will be here soon enough! We are going to Nashville this weekend to see Chris Hardwick do stand up. I'm so excited! We watch him on @ midnight every night and I listen to the Nerdist podcast when I run. I am a little nervous that he may be moving on from the podcast. He dropped the username Nerdist on the tweets and the instagrams, and now they are cutting the podcast down to one episode per week. I would be sad to miss out on my podcast/long run routine. Anyway. Saturday. Nashville!
What a Monday.
All the great ones love cats.

Speed work last night was harder mentally than physically.
Long day for both of them.
The weekend of eight veggie corn dogs.
I ate four yesterday and four today. They were delicious. I have no regrets (and no more veggie corn dogs).
I forgot to take a picture during or related to this morning's run, so here is a picture at Waterfront Park, where we went this afternoon to fly the drone. The driftwood outlines the high water mark, and while it is hard to capture in a photo, the river is still moving very fast. This morning's run was fine. The weather was cold and a bit windy, but not too bad for January. I listened to music instead of a podcast for most of the time and my pace dropped 0:23/mile compared to two weeks ago (when I listened to an engrossing podcast; Nerdist/Quentin Tarantino, IIRC). I love to listen to podcasts while I run, but I also want a PR in my next half marathon. Well, in every race all the time. So I may have to alternate between the two.
Oh cool, you can post your workout from the Fitbit app and add a picture. Next time I will use a workout-related picture. I ran from the house to Cherokee Park and turned around at Dog Hill. It was a perfect morning to run. Well... It was a little cold (32 degrees). And the traffic lights took forever. But otherwise, perfect.
Breakfast: scrambled eggs; roasted butternut squash and turnips; kefir. Happy New Year!
2015 was a great year! And without a doubt, 34 has been a great age. I hope the fun continues in 2016!
