What if the reason why Mammon grew up greedy is because he used to be pampered and spoiled by Lucifer? And Lucifer hiding Goldie from Mammon is not him trying to prevent Mammon from splurging but is actually jealous? (But he won't say it out loud cuz heS pRIDEFuL GEt IT?!)
Anyways I needed a reason to draw baby Mammon and Lucifer so here yah go (yes he wears glasses when he was young but wears contacts and graded sunglasses when he got older cuz he wanted to be cool you can't change my mind)
