Wanted to get this bad boy finished sooner but what's important is that I finished it eventually. (Or at least within the window where it still makes sense to post finale art.)
I cannot think of much else to say that hasn't already been said. A show like this really does only come around once in a blue moon, and now after nearly three years, hundreds of millions of eyes following it, and countless hours of my life dedicated to it, it's over. Not like it'll be forgotten anytime soon, I'm sure this fanbase will stay kicking for a while and I certainly have no plans to leave it behind anytime soon, but things will undeniably be different. No counting down the days to a new episode, no theorycrafting, no more...well, somewhat less ship wars, hopefully.
I've made my thoughts on this show pretty clear over time. I've had my many ups and downs with it. I have a whole storm of conflicting emotions surrounding the show itself and my place in relation to it. Being in the fandom became an endurance test at some point. I also absolutely adore it. I wouldn't have stuck around this long if I didn't. I wouldn't have found some absolutely wonderful people through it if I didn't. I wouldn't have revolved my whole online presence around a silly AU about a side character of all things if I didn't. I wouldn't have made some of the best memories of my (still quite new) adult life if I didn't.
I'm thankful every day that this show was made, no matter what qualms with it I may have. Even though I'm sure my fixation on it will one day wane, I'll still love you forever, TADC.
