This is basically what my physical therapist had me do for my back problems last year and it helped with the pain so much! Also walk for at least thirty minutes a day, even if it's just in small chunks throughout the day.
It’s weird to grow up in a family where you know you’re loved but you don’t feel loved. And then later in adulthood you understand how almost impossible it seems to cross that distance and let yourself experience closeness, how otherworldly love feels now and how love feels unbearable at times. You flinch when someone tries to wholeheartedly love you. And over and over you see so clearly how you cannot be loved unless it's from afar and love is mixed with that familiar sensation of distance and coldness.
girlie you can't give up you don't have the mansion with a secret library yet

Girls will be like Idk why im so unproductive recently and then you ask whats going on in their life and they list eight lifestopping crisies and then say 'yeah but i should be fine :/ '
The way this app is so intimate but so isolating the only thing i can compare it to is like we’re all in a museum at the same time. Or eating in our cars in a mcdonalds parking lot

Men love to talk about how much it sucks to be put in the friendzone but can we talk about how it feels to be a woman and realize that you didn’t have an actual friend? You just had somebody looming over you, waiting for you to agree to fuck them
And they get all offended that you were leading them on, but truthfully they led you on by pretending to be your friend
As an American in Europe, I hear a lot of (white) Europeans claiming that racism is an “American problem”.
No. The sheer scale of our police brutality, gun violence, and fucked-up prison systems is the American problem.
I’ve heard from a lot of Black Americans that they don’t feel profiled while walking the streets here and that’s huge. But they’ll tell you there’s a big difference in how they’re treated vs. how dark-skinned immigrants from non-English-speaking countries are treated. Police brutality, gun violence, and prisons only amplify racism. That doesn’t mean racism doesn’t exist in Europe.
When I go to countries like the Netherlands and see Christmas Blackface parades or an old white man making fake Chinese baby-talk at an Asian child while the child’s father grits his teeth and takes it, or when I walk through poor immigrant neighborhoods here in Barcelona and see the disparities or see only dark-skinned Black men selling blankets and souvenirs at the beach or hear people refer to convenience stores as the literal racial slur for a person from Pakistan because they’re typically owned by people of South Asian decent who aren’t given other opportunities, I just want to shake all the European white people and say- “Clean your own damn house.”
You only think it’s an American issue because you live in a country where you’re so comfortably in the majority, you’re not even looking for it. People get so annoyed at me when I point this shit out like I’m bringing my “American drama” with me everywhere I go but nobody can tell me that they ever asked a person of African, East Asian, or South Asian decent about this and it’s because they either literally don’t know any or they never created a safe enough space to hear about it.
