Uggghhh the new Yebba record is.. mesmerizing.

Good headphones or a hifi system ought to be required because, damn, the subtlety and restraint, sonically, are just astonishing. Musically, vocally, lyrically, melodically… it’s so rich… the breadth, the textures, landscapes, themes are so varied and so damn tasteful. And of course the talent of everyone holding it all together is just absurd.

This woman is a treasure. (Doesn’t hurt to have collaborators like James Francies, Nate Smith, et al.)

This album is a three act journey and her second masterpiece in a row.

I now have my music fix(ation) for the next several months locked in.😄

I actually had a dream this summer that shook me. In it, I was transported to a deeply ancient place, a lush forest beyond description, beyond time, beyond beauty. It was holy.

I wondered... if I fed certain words, based on my visual recollection of this place, into Midjourney, could it capture some small essence of it for me?

And honestly, it sort of did. The place in my dream was beyond any possible reproduction or description, but the main image above at least reminds me of it now. Sort of a low-grade, but decent, dream postcard.
