when Ruben says “if anything, I’m the main character. You’d be a sidekick”, that impacted me very viscerally. Because my ex-friend/brother/roommate/rapist said VERBATIM the exact same thing! I’ve had that conversation with him so many times, it was really jarring to see the two of them do it too.

I had to put my phone down just to think about it, really put a lot of things into perspective.

My brother is almost on the second season of The Magnus Archive, and he made what he thinks all the characters looked like in Tomodachi life. He’s never interacted with the fandom, so his decisions are 100% original
