For many years I have watched the world change. Once a peaceful and prosperousness land it is now plagued by darkness. Beriadan, also known as Alexander in the Human language is a young elf. His origins are unknown as he travels quite a lot, never settling down in one place for too long. Haldir blinked at the sight of his ears, taken a little aback, but he schooled his expression quickly with a slow nod. 

“I understand,” he soothed, his face softening. “It it eases your anxiety, I do not think of you differently for it.” His expression was solemn, honest. “I have never heard of such a place,” his head tilted slightly as he commented, his interest piqued.

A soft chuckle escaped the younglings lips as he saw the expression of the other. It was the usual one he got so he wasn't too surprised by it. It just seemed each time he saw it the more amusing it got. "I'm glad. And again I apologize for that rash behavior and assuming you were like the rest" Beriadan bowed his head apologetically before raising it once more. "It's quite far from these lands so I'm not surprised."

Beriadan looked over the group in which had approached him. Leaning against a strong oak tree, his eyes flooded with curiosity. "I'm rather curious as to why I keep meeting people out here--Is there some kind of cult activity going on that I don't know about?"

A member of the guard, then. The question might even be justified. “I felt the need for solitude.” To get out of his father´s halls. “What about you? You are on duty I suppose?” The Prince tilted his head, eyeing the fair ellon.

A small soft chuckle escaped Beriadan at the word duty. "Not even close" He admitted "I prefer getting away from that place as much as I can. Looking different from the others isn't always a joyous thing, especially when they come up with cliché nicknames such as Knife ears"

"Well, this is a surprise" Beriadan whispered as he watched the other approach. "’Quel  amrun Heruamin." The young elf spoke as he bowed his head in respect, really hating all this formal crap but the young elf knew he would get in trouble if he didn't.

She flinched back and gasped when he pointed the knife at her, Dagna had lost her weapon while searching for an elf and know she was defenseless  But when she saw the blood begin to drip she cried out and dived, using a rag to catch it, watching and sighing with relife as the crimson color stained the white cotton. She looked up and smiled slightly, "Thank you for your contribution. I belive I shall live many more years with this." Satisfied she stood and carefully tucked the rag away

"Don't expect me to become your personal blood donor though" His words were stern as he looked down at the witch. Why was it he always got himself in the most strangest of situations? You'd think at least once he'd be given a break, but it seemed like that fantasy wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Kallamine practically stumbled over her boots and jumped about a foot in the air at the sudden voice and appearance of the elf behind her. “Bloody hell,” she quipped under her breath. These elves certainly had a flair for just showing up and surprising her. At least this one had the courtesy of not drawing his blades, unlike Elladan… “You know, it’s pretty rude to just sneak up on someone from behind,” she remarked rather flatly, and brushed herself off, being sure to keep her eyes steadily on the man who was now facing her.

"Did you know it's also pretty rude to act like you have the authority to tell me where to stand?" A small smug grin pulled at the corner of Beriadan's mouth. If there was one thing he hated it was being ordered around by others. He has enough of that back home.

“I fare quite well, like usual” He admitted honestly “And yourself Prince?”

“If coming upon a handsome elf is my reward for my wanderings, I might have to do it a couple more times.” Magnolia said, looking over at him. “My name is Magnolia. May I know yours?”

"I'm flattered" he said in return for her comment about him being handsome. Would be a first he'd admit. "Names Beriadan" He had the slightest urge to say the introduction in elvish but he wasn't that cruel--well, not all the time anyway.

“Le suilon” Beriadan said as he approached the other. Once again another who’d strayed too far from the path in which led to where Thranduil sat his ass on a throne that made no sense in having when he couldn’t just simply sit in a normal chair. “—You’ve wandered quite far, are you lost?”

Erestor turned around as he heard someone behind him. Company? He wasn’t expecting that. Oh goodness, and his hair was a mess! The young counsellor quickly slipped a comb out of his pocket, quickly running it through his hair to neaten it out, wanting to make a good impression. “No, no no, not lost…” he said, fanning his hair out before slipping his comb away. “Simply doing research. I can protect myself.”

"And what part of my sentence did I say you couldn't?" He quickly contradicted. His shoulder still leaning against the gigantic tree in which branches stretched out almost as far as the eye could see. He sure was a lively chap wasn't he. "Do you have a name?" Beriadan asked casually, raising a brow as of slight.

She laughed softly, delighted at his words. “<Thank you, but indeed. I do not know if you have heard, but I was called the Star of Greenwood. My armour glowed when riding into battle against orcs and goblins, and was a sight to behold, or so I am told. But when I ascended to the throne, to stand beside Thranduil, I had to relinquish my title as Guard.>” Her smile was slightly sad. She had missed her time as a Guard, but as Queen of the Woodland Realm she guarded it in different ways, with her beloved husband.

Stepping past Beriadan, Estelelín moved to a window overlooking the distant forest. One hand touched her heart as she scowled. “<The trees are darker, the sky heavier, as if the air itself was burdened. The woods have grown quiet, but it is not a peaceful quiet.>”

Beriadan's eyes followed her as she gracefully moved past him. It was rather astonishing that unlike most she had not judged him in any kind of way. Not by the way he looked or his personality. He always thought the Royal family as uptight snobs but it seemed his accusation was untrue.

A faint sigh escaped his lips as he spoke "I won't lie to you. There is something creepy in the darkness, however talking to me won't get you far in finding anything out about it and I doubt you came to visit me--Would you like me to go get Tauriel?"

Beridan’s speech caused Haldir to raise an eyebrow, and he simply nodded along in acknowledgement, keeping his expression neutral. 

“Why so defensive?” Haldir teased lightly. “I was merely curious.” His neutral expression belied his sudden acute interest. By the way he spoke, and what little notion Haldir had of his background, this elf was an interesting sort. “Where do you hail from then, if not Arda?”

At the statement of him being defensive the young elf's eyes widened as of slight before he relaxed himself. "I'm sorry--It's just I'm not always treated fairly" Beriadan turned his head a little, showing more of his rather longer and pointier ears. A quality you would not find on a elf of Middle Earth "It's become a habit to stand my own ground around elves. Prove a point that I'm worth more than they see me" compared to Haldir Beriadan was no more than a teenager, even if his appearance looked otherwise.

"...I come from the Hills of Edialeda. A beautiful place, yet It was never enough for me I suppose" It was somewhat saddening but a part of him knew it was better not for him to know.

The Dwarf was caught off guard by the Elf; his mind had been wandering elsewhere for he felt at ease in these woods and was hard-pressed to believe any harm would come. Now Kíli cursed himself for being caught unawares.

The archer turned to the Elf and bowed, “Well met, stranger.” When righted, he wore a beaming smile and addressed himself, “I am Kíli, son of Dís and nephew to Thorin Oakenshield.”

He looked about the trees, his eyes squinting in the light. “I meant no trespass.”

A faint chuckle escaped the elf. A dwarf wandering into these parts? Well, that was quite the sight. Never had he expected to see such a being here in Mirkwood but all things were possible so why not this. Beriadan listened to the Dwarf speak, not interrupting at all, not even with a single breath.

Once he'd finished his introduction, Beriadan seemed it only fair he did the same. "I am Beriadan, son of Eruaran and Úpadiel-- These are not my lands and quite frankly I could care less if Thranduil had a fit about a Dwarf walking around on them. So in my eyes you're quite welcome here Kíli, son of Dí"
