KREUZBERG - Tempodrom
This iconic event venue sits on the old site of the Anhalter Bahnhof.
MITTE - Neue Wache Memorial
The Neue Wache Memorial features a mother mourning her dead son. The building is one of many in Berlin designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, and the sculpture is by Käthe Kollwitz.

This funky building is home to Urban Nation. Urban Nation strives to keep Berlin a creative and unique place by inviting international artists.
KREUZBERG - Tempelhofer Feld
Tempelhof used to be an airport in the heart of Berlin. Today it is a giant field that is enjoyed for recreational purposes. Currently, the airport building houses thousands of refugees. It is definitely a unique place to find in the center of such a large city.
The BERLIN Festival of Lights is an event that occurs annually in October. For 10 days, well-known sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Fernsehturm, Berlin Cathedral or Berlin Victory Column are scenes of illumination and light art. The first event was held in 2004. This year, the festival will be held from Oct 6 to 15. Official site:

MITTE - Humboldt University
Humboldt University is one of Berlin’s oldest universities. It is among the most prestigious in the world. It has also been a site of the Berlin Festival of Lights which occurs every year in October.
Reichstag, Berlin
MITTE - Reichstag Dom
Visitors can go to the glass dome on top of the Reichstag and catch a 360 degree view of the city. An audio tour will track where you are in the dome and tell you what you are looking at outside as well as a bit of history. Visitors can also see into parliament below.

Bergmannstrasse is cute, bustling street that has countless restaurants and shops to visit. There really is something for everyone along this street.
KREUZBERG - Jewish Musuem
Berlin is home to one of the largest Jewish museums in Europe. This installation consists of 10,000 faces made of steel on the ground of the Memory Void, one of the three buildings of the museum. As you walk across, the faces shift and make a sickening noise.
MITTE - Fernsehturm
Berlin’s TV Tower was built by the former East Germany as a symbol of communist power. Today it remains as a symbol of Berlin. It is the tallest structure in Berlin, and visitors can go to the top to view the city.

MITTE - Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
This church was badly damaged during World War II bombings. It was left standing in ruin as a memorial to the war.

CHARLOTTENBURG - Schloss Charlottenburg
Schloss Charlottenburg is the largest palace in Berlin. It was built for Friedrich III’s wife, and it was named for her after she died in 1705.
KREUZBERG - Görlitzer Park
Despite its child friendly features, Görlitzer Park is a well known drug dealing spot. It is unlikely that you’d be able to walk for more than two minutes through the park without being approached by a dealer. However, it is still a lovely place to sit with friends and enjoy the sunshine.

FRIEDRICHSHAIN - Molecule Man
This aluminum sculpture sits in the Spree River. The three bodies are filled with hundreds of holes which are meant to represent “the molecules of all human beings coming together to create our existence.”
Gendarmenmarkt
MITTE - Gendarmenmarkt
This square is home to the Konzerthaus, Französischer Dom, and Deutscher Dom. This picture is taken from the Deutscher Dom looking towards the Französischer Dom with the steps to the Konzerthaus in the middle. The Französischer Dom was built by the Huguenot community, and the Deutscher Dom was built by the Lutheran community. Both were built in the early 1700s.
