Taylor! The likelihood that you're going to have to interact with Monica at all is probably going to be very slim. While I do have a very close relationship with her, I wouldn't be surprised if she avoids me like the plague for a bit. I implied that her opinions should be kept to herself -- that's a little hard for her.

I'm not worried. I think that... I've finally come to the conclusion that I don't care what anyone else has to say about our relationship. I told Monica that I respect her opinion -- however wrong it may be -- but that I'm a big girl that is perfectly capable of making my own opinions and judgements, which I have done with you. Because you're special to me, and I'm happy. I'm not going to let anyone ruin that because they're stuck in a petty mindset.

I'm asking you to trust my judgement. I know that you have had your ups and downs with Taylor -- and she with you -- but as someone who has seen sides of her that you have yet to see, I promise you that I would not be in this relationship if I didn't trust her completely. In the past five months, you can't deny that I'm visibly happier than I was before. Therefore, deductive reasoning would have you believe that she is part of that happiness. I love you dearly and I trust you more than I trust anyone else, but I'm asking you to trust me this once. If things end badly, you have every right to tell me that you told me so. But I think I'm a big girl capable of making my own decisions and my own judgements.

But she's sweet and lovely, and before you ask, she treats me well so you don't have to worry about anything on that front. And I like her a lot.
