King!Negan x Scullion!Carl - Strangers to Friends to Enemies to Lovers; goes from very soft, meet cute, bumping into each other in the castle hallway and Negan teaching Carl how to ride horses to intense enemies to lovers after a really bad argument, including a little side plot of Carl x Knight!Glenn (because i am convinced i'm the only person who sees possibility there) that is slightly driven by Carl being mad over Negan but becomes very serious when Carl realises how nice Glenn really is to him; also fucked up angst and L0TS of jealous Negan, like an unfathomable amount; also fucked up power dynamics in play
Demon!Negan x Sacrificial Lamb!Carl - aka Carl is thrown in the snowy woods to die by his town because of a terrible harvest yield but Demon!Negan won't accept the sacrifice because Carl is innocent so he takes him in; strange domesticity between a human and a demon ensues; very self indulgent because yes, Carl does have a 'look at me, Negan. this isn't you' moment talking him down from blood lust; Demon!Negan also lives in a cabin in the forest because I say so and he has a monstrous form that is kind of like a Wendigo
Soulmate AU - Soulmates have the same tattoo-like mark on their bodies that gains colour once you touch your soulmate for the first time; Negan and Carl both have a mark of a sword on their forearm with blood dripping off the end but the blood drip forms a heart; they meet at a motel by literally bumping into each other but it turns out that Negan is actually a serial killer who kills couples that are together but aren't soulmates because of his own grief over losing Lucille, blaming himself for her death because they weren't soulmates, and basically Carl accepts this fact far too quickly and easily and they become fucked up murder husbands
Bar Regular!Negan x Bartender!Carl (also Sugar Daddy!Negan x Masters Student!Carl) - Carl has been working at the same small dive bar for over 4 years and is a favourite of all the regulars but in particular Negan; the two spend most quiet shifts just chatting with each other about work and school, their relationship is very casually flirty but neither have the balls to make a move; on a quiet night the regulars have all decided to buy lottery tickets for fun but Negan ends up winning millions and Carl is the only one who knows; shenanigans ensue of Negan basically only spending his money on broke college student Carl because he doesn't know what to do with it
these are just some silly little ideas i have drafts about in my google docs, i may actually turn them into fanfics one day (just saying peer pressure does work on me)
