this pride month has really sucked for me lmao. i had to quit my good-paying full time job last month due to personal safety from a transphobic employee there. i only have two shifts a week at my other part-time job and haven't been called back for any jobs I've applied for. on top of that, my bf's car (our only personal transportation) broke down today.

we're really really behind on bills on top of all of this. my bf is working 50+ hours a week and it's still not enough to get out of the negatives.

if anyone could help me out at least with some grocery and bill money for the time being until I find something else/get full time hours back at my other job, that would be like, really awesome and would end my pride month on a higher note lol ❤️

PHM Replica Patch Art!

Posting for all to use, for free, my (somewhat simplified) PHM patch art.

The big, round "mission patch" you all should already have (ripped or rasterized from the Lego set. Please see my earlier post). Below are my Grace "wings" patch / name patch, and the "PHM" "monogram" patch, seen on flightsuits, spacesuits, clothes, etc.

These come in 3 versions: a black & white, high contrast version meant to be used to make stencils for painting (or cutting vinyl), a 'flat colors' version, for printing, and a "3D" effect version (also for printing).

Did you know there is home inkjet printer printable fabric? It's OK. You gotta get your printer settings right, and heat-set the ink after printing (read the instructions!), but this is another option for DIY cosplayers.

Finished size is up to you! I had to guess and approximate the size, based on photos & screencaps, and comparing to my costume. You will have to do the same. Make some blank test cutouts or prints and stick them on your 'project' to judge for yourself.

I’VE FIGURED IT OUT!!! LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN!!! It’s his hat!! I have been trying to figure out what his hat was symbolizing for almost a week now and I think I’ve finally got it!

Everytime he wears his beanie, he loses his agency and right to choose.

Think about it: he wears it when he and Stratt are talking for the first time, before she more or less intimidates him into the car. He’s wearing it later, too, when the building blows up. What else is there to do but to run across that field and hope, hope the scientists are alive. (They are not.)

He’s still wearing the hat when he’s asked to go in Dubois’ place, when he asks for time to think about it. It’s the illusion of choice. He asks and is given that chance to “think about it”, and so the beanie comes off as he thinks. It returns in the montage later, on the roof, as he breaks down over it because he knows. He knows he can’t say yes. He doesn’t understand how anyone could agree to being the sacrificial lamb, as referenced in the earlier conversation with Yao, so does that really make it a decision at all?

The beanie remains on as he informs Stratt of his decision.

He wears it when he gets told he’s going on the mission anyway.

He wears it when he runs. Our last shot of Doctor Ryland Grace on Earth is when he’s wearing that hat.
