Todays Snake Is:
The Brahminy Blind Snake or Flowerpot Snake (Indotyphlops braminus) is a nonvenomous species found throughout the world. Though this snake originally hails from Africa and Asia, it has been accidentally introduced to every continent apart from Antarctica, even areas in which there are no native terrestrial snakes. This tiny species, like most other blind snakes, feeds on ants and termites. It is also entirely parthenogenetic, meaning all individuals are genetically identical female clones that reproduce asexually. Its simple diet, small size, and unique reproduction method have all contributed to this snake’s unprecedented geographical success.

Todays Snake Is:
The Large-scaled Shieldtail (Uropeltis macrolepis) is a nonvenomous snake endemic to Gujarat and Maharashtra in India. Its curiously-shaped tail is used used to distract and confuse predators away from its actual head. These snakes are burrowers, and thrive in forests with thick leaf litter in which they may find worms and other prey.
