Artist at work
Arcade Fire at The Gorge - such an amazing concert venue
In and around Seattle - we spent the day perusing Pike Place Market, stepping in gum by the Gum wall, uncovering the home of Starbucks, and visiting where Kurt Cobain's spent his final days. I think I fell in love with the emerald city!
The view out from Mount Rainier
Mount Rainier - one of the most beautiful hikes... highlights include seeing the blue glaciers in between the wafting clouds and sliding down the snow covered slopes.
Day 69 was the end - hello Seattle 🎉🎉😝🎉😝🎉
Snohomish (WA) -> Seattle (WA) - 44 miles
WE MADE IT TO SEATTLE AND THE PACIFIC OCEAN! 4318.6 miles later - it was time to celebrate.
68 was a day of lasts… 😔
Darrington (WA) -> Snohomish (WA) - 49 miles
The last of Washington and our last full day of riding and last rest stop. Tomorrow we reach Seattle!
67 took us through the forest
Diablo (WA) -> Darrington (WA) - 57 miles
We left the Northern Cascade Park and headed towards Seattle! We finally found the lush forests I was expecting in Washington.
66 was our last and best pass!
Liberty Bell peak on Washington Pass
Winthrop (WA) -> Diablo (WA) - 67 miles
Our last, and most beautiful, pass of Washington - Washington Pass (and Rainy Pass)! At the top we hiked up to Blue Lake and had beautiful views of the surrounding Liberty Bell peak and snow covered mountains. We also found a mountain goat. Probably my favorite day of the trip!
