Eleanor had no trouble keeping a steady pace while walking next to the other, briefly pausing to step out of the way of another nurse shepherding a patient into her room. “Not me. There was a fight down town and the idiot who started it got their head cut open by a glass window.” She shrugged while recounting the memory. “That’s about all the excitement I’ve had today though. How about you?”
“Oh my.” The blonde hesitantly giggled. They probably shouldn’t take that easily, even though he got into it himself. “Well, the usual... three people left today, so lots of new—” A sharp scream cut through the air, from one of the rooms probably, and Mary couldn’t help but twitch, even though that was just what she experienced every day in the psych ward. She just had to hold herself bak from running over there and trying to help that poor soul. After all that was why she was here for - but she had worked an 9 hour shift without a break now, and her body ached for caffeine. Trying to hide all that, she looked back at her friend and bit her lip. “Lots of new people, as you can hear.”
