“What’s wrong?”  Adam asked watching his scramble for his things, “are you leaving?  I thought you wanted to see my power.”  He said walking over to the guy.  Okay so maybe he over did it a little.

Elias shook his head quickly, before standing up “I-I have to go um back to my dorm. I’m not feeling well all of the sudden,” He figured he was having some kind of anxiety attack, and that was never a good thing, especially because he could accidentally hurt someone. He gripped his backpack tight to his chest and started to walk away.

Adam might have felt bad but that didn’t stop him from laughing.  He’d made people freak out before but this was gold!  The kid was throwing bikes at the tree for crying out loud.  He wished he had a camera.  “Calm down,” he said debating between removing it or not.  He figured with a place like this, they didn’t need some psychic kid blowing up the forest.  He raised he hand again before slowly balling it to a fist, pulling the fear back out of him.  “You okay?”  He asked still smiling.  Now this was more like it.

As the fear was pulled from him, Elias couldn’t remember why he was so scared. He stood up and quickly released the floating objects, his head now hurting pretty badly. Elias didn’t know what this guy was or what he did, but he didn’t want to be around him any longer. Feeling too anxious to use his powers, he got onto the ground and began gathering his things that had fallen from his backpack. He had nothing to say to the other.

Adam actually felt kind of bad about what he was about to do.  The boy seemed perfectly harmless.  He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.  And after his little encounter with his so-called sister, he needed to blow off some steam.  He smiled and just stood there a second before lifting his hand up, aiming his open palm at Elias.  There was a jolt of something in the air that hit the other male, feeling like a shove to the torso.  It seemed harmless enough but when Adam put his hand back down it was like an overwhelming fear struck Elias.  And it had to do with the tree.

Elias’ cheerful smile quickly dropped into a frown. Something felt...terrible all of the sudden. He looked up at the tree, and his eyes widened in fear. Oh man! What the hell is a tree doing here!!!!! He thought to himself before letting out a cry of pure fear. His power flared and sent a telekinetic shockwave from his body and to the area around him. He focused on making a few bikes, a car tire, some rocks, etc. fly at the tree. Elias desperately wanted to be free of the tree’s existence. He yelled, sending another wave before curling up into a ball and crying to himself.

Adam smiled trying to act innocent enough, “great.  Then let’s see…”  He looked around for a while before pointing to a tree, “go stand under that tree,” he said in a sing song kind of voice.

Elias nodded and sprinted over to the tree. This was so cool! He wondered if Adam’s power had something to do with the trees or the environment, or something? He didn’t know, but he was so excited to see. “Okay! I’m ready!” He called out to the other.

Normally Adam didn’t go showing off his power, but he’d had an annoying week.  He could take it out on this guy a bit.  “I think it’s still need,” he said smiling.  “Want to know what my power is?”  He asked casually enough.

Elias’ eyes went wide and his grin was rather large. He absolutely adored when people offered to show him their power. It was such an intimate, personal thing, and Elias always felt a bit honored by it. “Yes, I would love to know!” He chimed out in a slightly high pitched voice.

“I’m sorry, ‘all I can do is lift things with my mind’?“  Adam asked looking over at him raising an eyebrow, “that seems like a pretty amazing power if you ask me.”  He said shaking his head.  He’d never really thought about what other powers might be out there.  Hell, he barely understood how his own worked most of the time.  “Secret nook and crannies hm?  Like what?”

“Everyone always says that, but I don’t really think so. I like my power well enough, but I’d rather be able to do something that can help people,” Eli admitted and smiled at the other guy. “Nothing super cool, I guess, there’s this old abandoned shack that we found once, stuff like that”

“I think I can pig out more than you can” Andrew blurted out without thinking, “That’s not another challenge though, just clarifying. I’m a total foodie lover.” Andrew softly laughed before scavenging the menu. He’d already found what he wanted. Looking around the restaurant, he noticed it seemed quite fancy. “Would you judge me if I got two hamburgers with a side of fries?” He asked with a sheepish smile, leaning his cheek against his hand.

“Oh me too, I love eating. I once ate an entire box of doughnuts after working out. Completely defeated the purpose of it, right?” Elias laughed a little bit and looked over the menu, although he already knew what he wanted. Sadly, growing up here, you get used to the food, even at this fancy place. “I wouldn’t judge you one bit! I’m thinking about getting two grilled cheeses and a big thing of fries, and maybe even a cup of soup” He smiled “They’re going to run out of food before we’re done”  Elias smiled “Thanks for hanging out with me, I have a weird feeling that we’re going to be aaaaaaawesome friends!”

“I can see where they’re coming from” Andrew admitted, but the bump derailed his train of thought on the topic in that moment. “You win this time. But hey, we’ll definitely take a road trip somewhere out of Crowns sometime in the future.” He held out a pinky as a promise. Andrew averted his eyes ahead, “Are we there yet?”

“Victory is mine!” Elias grinned widely and nodded “A Roadtrip sounds really fun. But first I have to get a car or something. Gonna have to make a lot of lattes before that happens” He chuckled and pointed “Yep, we’re here!” He opened the door for Andrew “I’m so hungry, so get ready for me to pig out,” Elias walked in and requested a table for two, and was happy to get a table near a window. “Now get whatever you like!”

“Nope. My parents are really sort of weird...they thing we’ll be persecuted if we leave. They’re really paranoid,” Elias sighed again “I wish I could just see at least a bit of the world, you know?” Elias bumped him and chuckled “I won, by the way”
