That was a very eventful night! Lola decided as she was getting closer to delivery that Mouse was a threat and started attacking him so I had to keep breaking up cat fights until about 1 AM when she finally let me get to sleep. Then Lola woke me up at 3:15 AM when she finally went into labor. She apparently decided that my bed was the best nesting area and scratched and pawed until I let her in under the top cover. Ostensibly this is because Mouse decided that the nesting box is his new favorite place because when I checked to see where he was, he was sleeping in the box so she decided that next to me under the covers was the safest place to have her babies. After about two hours we had two kittens and no more since then so probably that’s it although I hear sometimes they take a break for up to a day and then have more. I’m exhausted!
