This month's talk theme was, "Tell me what you collect, or have collected!" ♪ I received so many messages from everyone! Thank you everyone for sharing your favourite things! 🥺✨There was a wide variety, from classic collection items to things I'd never heard of, I was incredibly fascinated! What I realised is that collecting requires patience. 😳Little by little, over time, occasionally looking at what you've collected, cherishing and waiting for the next time you'll encounter a new item for your collection…I feel that enjoying that time is the true joy of collecting. 😊
I tend to be extreme; in the past, I used to be obsessed with wanting to complete a collection all at once *laughs* But now I understand everyone's feelings better and appreciate the joy of working towards a goal little by little! I think it's probably since I started growing plants 🤔As my collection gradually grows, I'm deeply moved and touched by the realisation that I am actually nurturing so many plant babies…😂Those moments are super precious! ♡
Thank you to everyone who submitted entries! By the way, this month's "Wakana's Leaves 🌱" corner features my agave, nicknamed "Mama Agave"! (This is a photo of Mama Agave) In my opinion, she's absolutely massive 😂I recently moved her around a bit so now she looks even bigger 🌴Her leaves are a truly beautiful green…😍They are so glossy ✨The main reason for the name "Mama Agave" is that I now have another agave at home, ↓It's so small and cute ♡ The other reason for calling her "Mama Agave" is the fact that she has grown so much so her name also carries a Mother Earth-like meaning 😂
Also, look at that "thorn at the tip" I was talking about!! Isn't it a really big thorn?? It would hurt if that pricked a human, right?? It's super sharp!! So, I always cut off just the tip. After researching, it seems the reason for this thorny shape is a form of "self-defense" to protect itself from herbivores and other animals that live in arid regions. Fun fact, in the past, humans have used this plant as a sort of everyday tool due to its sharpness! 😳They really can be used as needles… that's amazing! (°_°)🪡 Mother Agave has grown tremendously since coming to my home (about 9 years ago), and she's still growing! 🌴If she reaches the ceiling, I'll have to rethink where to put her! 😅
Now, regarding "Wakana's Talk Garden," I'll be taking a break next month. 🌛✨Next month will be dedicated to FC magazine submissions again, so I'd love for everyone to participate in the member-only project! ＼(^o^)／
Since I have a live performance at Meguro Blues Alley Japan on August 5th, I'd love for everyone to share their impressions of the show so I'll be slightly adjusting the deadline for submissions and broadcast date for the upcoming podcast episode! The podcast will be on hiatus until August so fan club members can focus on submissions for the next fan club magazine. The talk topics for episode #34 will be announced on the blog on July 10th. One of the topics will include impressions from the August 5th live performance, so the release date for the podcast will be changed from August 10 to August 15, 2026.
The submission deadline is 08/08.

FC Magazine Member Only Topic‼︎〜Submissions for Summer Moments & Kiki & Cats〜
I went to see 'Kiki's Delivery Service IMAX' on its opening day the other day!! ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ (Sorry, I was so happy and excited that I took way too many pictures, so please take a look.) The pamphlet is a 2022 reprint, but the content is the same as the 1989 version! Just little old me showing off my pamphlet *laughs* I finally got a poster at the theater, something I couldn't do with 'Princess Mononoke'!! It really is a wonderful film...😭✨ At the beginning, when Kiki sets off on her journey, her neighbours come to see her off, and her friends cheer her on. I cried again at the scene where they cheer her on, "Go go Kiki!! Go go Kiki!!" 😂 After this, Kiki experiences many things, meets many people, and learns about emotions and parts of herself she never knew before, but it makes you realise how much she was loved and watched over by so many people throughout her life. Because she grew up in such a loving environment, Kiki was surprised and hurt by her first experience of city life, and faced many hardships. But I think Kiki, who lives by the motto "Always remember to smile," is truly such a wonderful character. Until now, Kiki had taken love for granted. She could fly without thinking, and I think she had always clearly expressed her will. But when she started comparing herself to others, when she lost confidence in herself, she didn't know how to fly anymore. I just couldn't watch this scene without crying...😭😭 Seeing her anxiety about herself, her jealousy of Tombo, and all sorts of emotions all jumbled together...😭 But what really stood out to me this time was Tombo's line. "It might not be fun for you, but I think it would be putting your talents to work. That's wonderful" How much Kiki was saved by those words...😢 Tombo, you're such a good person! (But I also enjoyed mentally replacing their conversation with that of Kid and Conan 😂) Of course, I also loved Ursula's "special scene." When Kiki confides in Ursula about not being able to fly anymore, Ursula says, "Sometimes I'm unable to paint a thing." Kiki asks, "But then what? What happens??" "Maybe you should just take a break.." When Ursula answers that, I just burst into tears 😭 "Take long walks. Look at the scenery. Doze off at noon. Don't even think about flying. And then, pretty soon, you'll be flying again.." Ugh, Ursula, please be my friend 😭 Sorry, this got long *laughs*
Anyway, I cried from beginning to end 😢 My Ghibli-loving friend who went to see it with me was also crying the whole time 😂 (By the way, all the photos were taken after the movie! My eyes were all swollen!!) I want to see it again while it's still showing! I want everyone to see it!

The other day, my manager, Sato-san, took this photo for me after work 📸 A look of relief is on my face after finishing a job 😚 (After this, the fast food restaurant closed much earlier than usual for some reason, and we were kicked out.)

A few days ago, I went back to Fukuoka for the first time in a while 🥳🎉 Fukuoka Airport! Hakata Station! This time, it was a trip for personal reasons, but also for a fan club magazine shoot, so I had a really packed schedule 😂 The number one mistake people from outside the prefecture often make is calling it "Fukuoka Station." It's "Hakata Station," right? ☺️ The second most common mistake is calling it "Hakata Airport." It's "Fukuoka Airport," right? ☺️ (Side note: My manager Sugawa-san flew to Fukuoka with me, she still can't tell the difference between Hakata Station and Tenjin.) This time, I finally got something I've wanted for a long time!! A Goshuincho (a stamp book)!! Everyone in the podcast submissions always talks about Goshuincho, so I've become very interested in them recently. Of course, I knew about the existence of Goshuincho, but I didn't know how to get the stamps, or where to get them... I was ignorant! 💦 This time, I went to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine for the first time in a while, and I found this stylish Goshuincho at BEAMS! Can you see it? It says "DAZAIFU" on it ✏️ I thought the bold red was cool, so I bought it. I went with a friend's family, and we all wandered around looking for the stamp area (none of us had ever owned a goshuincho before), but we finally got our goshuin stamps...!! They placed them so carefully, one by one...🥹 I was so moved 😂✨ More details will be in the newsletter~🌿

Photos from Fukuoka 📸 I went to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine with my best friend from elementary school (Ayu-chan) and her family, and we stopped at a sweet potato snack shop along the way! ! 🍠🍠🍠 She said, "It's super delicious! You should buy some as a souvenir from Fukuoka!", so I happily went shopping♪ I even got to sample some freshly made ones, and they were absolutely delicious! I bought a lot! ...But after I bought them, I realized something when looking at the package. They're a specialty of Kochi Prefecture!🤣🤣 Ayu-chan?? 😂 They have nothing to do with Fukuoka, do they? 😂 Well, they're delicious, so it's not a problem at all! ! 😂 We all thought they were a Fukuoka specialty, so I guess it's fine to just call them a Fukuoka specialty! ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ (Great story, isn't it?😂)

Even more interestingly, this Imoya Kinjiro shop also has a store in Tokyo! 😂 I could have bought them anytime! (Of course, I still handed them out to everyone around me saying, "A specialty sweet potato souvenir from Fukuoka! 🍠" They all looked at me like I was crazy😂)

When I went to Fukuoka the other day, I packed my suitcase full of things that I absolutely couldn't compromise on!! For me, first of all, I always bring my favourite pajamas (*^^*) Also, since I always grind my own coffee beans in the morning, I grind enough for the number of days I'm traveling and put it in small Ziploc bags ☕ (When it's too much trouble or I don't have time, I bring drip coffee from my favourite place for the number of days I'm traveling) And the things that take up the most space in my suitcase are clothes and skincare products! When it comes to clothes, if I'm also working, I bring enough for the number of days plus a little extra 👘👚 For skincare, I always portion out my usual products, of course, but I also bring extra facial masks, and of course, my favorite YA-MAN beauty device!😆 I also pack my usual shampoo and conditioner! (I use a lot for my long hair, so it's heavy!)
