As much of an urge he had to put up a front, he couldn’t help but smile bright and beaming around the red-head. He leaned into Hikaru, breathing out a brief laugh before lifting his hand to brush his thumb over the shorter male’s cheek as they kissed. “I missed you.” He sighed against his lips.

He normally would expect a front from Leo, but they were the only two in the room. And they hadn't seen each other in person in what felt like ages. Leo had no reason to put up any kind of front. "I missed you too." He kissed him again and wrapped his arms around him, quiet for a moment. "I couldn't stop thinking about you....do I get something for being the way gayer twin?"

Leo’s cocky grin did nothing to mask the slight flush on his cheeks. “Really? That’s all you’ve got? A simple peck on the cheek for your super hot part-time model, demon boyfriend?”

He loved the flush, even if it was slight. "Okay, wow. Wow. You are a part-time model demon boyfriend, with a serious ego problem." He shook his head, one hand carding through the blond locks. "...But you are super hot." He pressed a kiss to his lips.

"…, Your local demon is done sucking cock for the day, but thanks for summoning me."

"Aw, damn. Well, I mean at least you're nice to look at."

He kissed his cheek, grinning up at him.

"Hey there."

Leo sat onto the edge of Hikaru’s bed, making himself comfortable. He still had to figure out where to start off with this Long Wang business, which proved to be very difficult.

He closed his eyes and took a breath, drumming his fingers against his thigh. When his eyes opened, that was when it came clear to him where he should begin.

"Alright, so…. there’s a lot I’ve got to tell you. Well, maybe, I’m not exactly sure at the moment." The Frenchman paused fidgeting as if he were guilty of doing something he shouldn’t have. Which, he hadn’t. He was perfectly innocent (although he didn’t know it). "What he said about…. being friends with benefits…. we were. Were, that was like, a year ago, and…,” Leo hesitated, but knew he had to be honest. “I hadn’t slept with him. Until…. that night.” 

Talking about this was a lot harder that it seemed.

For once, Hikaru was completely patient and surprisingly less fidgety. He set aside the washcloth once he'd gotten the paint off and pulled one knee up to his chest. 

He nodded and gave a few 'mmhmm's, brow gradually furrowing in confusion as Leo started to explain. Leo seemed to be as confused as he was, which made even less sense considering he was doing the confessing. None of this added up much, when he thought about it. Hikaru let Leo continue his thought, one hand running through his red hair to help him throw his thoughts back together.

The younger male felt inexplicably bad about having Leo struggle through this confession. Maybe because something about this hadn't been sitting right ever since Leo's confession when he'd returned from France. And now none of it was and Hikaru just couldn't set his thoughts right.

"I guessed most of that, yeah. And I know this is tough for you to explain. But...about that night. What happened- Not during, obviously. But what started it?"

Green irises flickered up once Hikaru had answered the door. His boyfriend’s appearance wasn’t what he had been expecting, not that he minded. He shook his head briefly to clear his thoughts and stepped into the manor, greeting Hikaru with a, “Hey, no thanks. I’m fine.”

"You’ve got something right over here," Leo pointed out, gesturing towards the areas on his face that were riddled with paint, a slight smirk making itself known. He stepped closer towards the red-head, letting his fingers brush downwards from his temple to his cheek over the dried paint. The blonde let out a soft sigh of his own.

"I’m sorry for being such an asshole yesterday." He apologized sincerely. "You didn’t deserve to be bitched at by me." Leo leaned forward to press a kiss to Hikaru’s forehead, taking a moment to gently comb his fingers through damp hair.

Once he’d gotten that out of the way he took a step back. The hand that had combed through Hikaru’s hair slid down the younger boy’s arm to hold his own. There was so much he needed to tell him, the expression on Leo’s face had already said as much.

"Listen, I want to talk to you." He breathed, gaze never wandering from Hikaru. "I want to explain everything to you about my history with L." Leo couldn’t help but feel apprehensive. His relationship with Long Wang wasn’t really something that could be easily explained. But Hikaru needed to know, just in case Long felt the need to mess with his head.

The redhead blinked and cocked his head slightly to the side when Leo pointed out the paint on his face. He had been in the middle of venting through his oil paints, so he wasn't surprised with himself that he hadn't noticed. He hadn't been that offended by yesterday, so he naturally wasn't expecting an apology. But he smiled nonetheless and shrugged when Leo kissed him on the forehead.

"Oh, sure." He nodded, making an inference that Leo came here to be serious. He had a funny feeling he was about to get more backstory on Long Wang, but he wasn't certain if he even wanted to hear it. The shorter boy gestured for Leo to follow him to his room and shut the door behind them.

"Okay, shoot." He said once he'd exited his bathroom with a damp washcloth, plopping onto his bed to swipe most of the paint off his face.

It was Hikaru's birthday and it was late. Leo had spent up until 25 minutes ago doing last minute wrapping-up, making sure he put the right amount of thought into this gift. Just a few items, nothing too extravagant. A few art supplies that were top of the line, a copy of a video game that the red-head had been blabbing about for months (he'd pulled a few strings to get it before the pre-orders went out), and lastly, himself. "Happy Birthday, Hikaru," He smiled softly as he handed over the gift.

Hikaru would've liked to have been the sappy romantic who was like: "You being here with me is enough of a gift, blahblahblah." But he couldn't help it. Loves Leo. Really likes gifts. "You're the best!" He plopped himself down on the couch much like a kid on Christmas morning, smiling from ear to ear as he opened his present. He geeked out over the art supplies, bouncing in place when he unwrapped the video game. "OH MY GOD. You're the best- You are the BEST! I love you!" He flustered throwing his arms around the blond.

Explanations.

After a night of drinking and venting to his mother about events from the day before, Leo figured he had owed Hikaru an apology. He certainly had snapped at him more than once, and had gotten scolded by Colette after describing what went on that evening.

That led to Leo feeling guilty, dragging himself out of bed despite the slight hangover just to visit Hikaru that morning to apologize. Aside from that, he had also planned to clear up a couple of things involving the Chinaman.

He sighed as he stared up at the large estate, hesitating to ring the doorbell. With a grumble, and some self reassurance, he finally plucked up the little bit of courage it took to do so.

“Vous êtes un trou du cul,” The Frenchman muttered to himself as he recalled his words from yesterday evening.

Hikaru hadn't taken Leo's bad night so seriously. He was irritated and a little off-put by his attitude, but the redhead figured that there was even more to this than Leo was explaining.

Incidentally, these thoughts had kept him up practically all night. He'd tried to sleep, but most of the night was spent tossing and turning and trying to find more and more things to distract himself instead of letting his mind wear itself away about things he didn't know.

He was in the living room brushing the last of the paint out of his hair when he heard the door. He called the maids off and headed off to get it himself.

The older twin looked like a mess. His hair was still damp from a shower and hanging loose around his face, and there was still some kind of green and gold paint spattered up his cheek and around his temple.

"First off, hi. Second, do you need a painkiller?" He sighed, stepping aside so the blond could get himself out of the bright sunlight.

His taste in music isn’t supposed to reflect his appearance, it’s supposed to take him away from stuff. So really upbeat, kind of silly in nature songs like the one I posted distances himself the most from reality.}

Aaaah! Sorry! He's laughing because there are times where he even forgets that about Leo, and he hates when he does. But that one song made him think of Leo singing in the shower or just jamming around his room, and that's why he got all giddy about it. He loves Leo's silly moments.

He blinked up at him at the sudden smile on Leo’s face and the kiss on his cheek. In turn he started smiling right back, a bubble of relieved laughter just barely stifled.

And then Leo forgave him, and Hikaru looked at Leo like he’d just said something absolutely crazy, holding that look for a while. And then the laughter escaped all at once and in no time he was clutching onto Leo with his free hand to keep from falling down. “You talk in third person now, I can’t take this.” He giggled. “You’re adorable.”

Leo’s brow quirked up at the look Hikaru was giving him. He’d only seen that look after he’d said something ridiculous, which he had. It was a way of coping, a means of attempting to better his mood.

When his boyfriend began to laugh, Leo had failed at keeping a grin from spreading across his features. He let out a few chuckles of his own before rolling his eyes and lightly shoving the red-head forward. “Shut up, I’ve got at least three shots of vodka lined up for me at home and you’re keeping me from that. Let’s go.”

He shook his head and stopped short in front of Leo, enjoying his little game of being a complete nuisance. "Okay, okay, your highness." He laughed, wrapping an arm around Leo's waist as they headed towards the stairwell. "One day, you're going to drink the world's vodka supply dry. It's gonna happen, and you're going to....I dunno, shrivel up or something."
