So lately life has not been very kind to me and I kinda neglected my studies, I hit a study block and now it has been very difficult to get started. Hence, I'm starting a productivity challenge. Nothing too unrealistic (like the 100 days challenge, idk how y'all do it really) but enough time to get over this block. The only way out is through.

Studies

Went to the library and organized my studies step by step, in order not to feel overwhelmed with how many things I still have to do.

Right now I'm focusing on animal nutrition and anatomy

visited the second mandatory tutorial session for my literature class, then sought shelter in the psych library as it has an ac, before returning to my beloved humanities library. read 30 pages for tomorrows seminar & wrote the first draft of a short story - still have to type it into an actual document.

Mathematics is so very psychological. The moment I decided sheaf cohomology wasn't unlearnable, it became learnable. The moment I decided derived functors weren't unlearnable, it became learnable. Etc. Having faith that the technicalities can be navigated is really the key thing I think.

"I'll figure it out" is a powerful statement. Yes, you may not know what to do next or where to even begin... but you are ready and willing to do what it takes. You will in fact figure it out.

Very nearly just turned this in on a final exam. Luckily I caught myself in time, and while I’m sure it would have given the professor a laugh, I’m equally sure that it’s not the most encouraging thing to see on the first problem of the exam.

15.05.26 - Study session at the deutsches museum library

Love it here because its green, and quiet + good parking opportunities and i absolutely adore the deutsches museum shop. Could leave a ton of money there.

I booked one of the few study desks with recharge opportunity and enjoy the slight wind coming in from the isar river which flows right by.
