He normally would expect a front from Leo, but they were the only two in the room. And they hadn’t seen each other in person in what felt like ages. Leo had no reason to put up any kind of front. “I missed you too.” He kissed him again and wrapped his arms around him, quiet for a moment. “I couldn’t stop thinking about you….do I get something for being the way gayer twin?”

Leo curled his arms securely around Hikaru's waist, dipping his head down to breathe him in and press chaste kisses against his neck.  "Hm," He thought, lifting his head back up to press his lips to the shorter boy's forehead. "My undying love for you?" He asked, uncertain of what the right answer would be. "I'm not sure what kind of reward one should get for being the gayer twin." He admitted, lips quirking up into a smirk Hikaru was all too familiar with. "Unless you require something more specific."

Leo’s cocky grin did nothing to mask the slight flush on his cheeks. “Really? That’s all you’ve got? A simple peck on the cheek for your super hot part-time model, demon boyfriend?”

He loved the flush, even if it was slight. “Okay, wow. Wow. You are a part-time model demon boyfriend, with a serious ego problem.” He shook his head, one hand carding through the blond locks. “…But you are super hot.” He pressed a kiss to his lips.

As much of an urge he had to put up a front, he couldn't help but smile bright and beaming around the red-head. He leaned into Hikaru, breathing out a brief laugh before lifting his hand to brush his thumb over the shorter male's cheek as they kissed. "I missed you." He sighed against his lips.

"Aw, damn. Well, I mean at least you’re nice to look at."

He kissed his cheek, grinning up at him.

"Hey there."

For once, Hikaru was completely patient and surprisingly less fidgety. He set aside the washcloth once he’d gotten the paint off and pulled one knee up to his chest. 

He nodded and gave a few ‘mmhmm’s, brow gradually furrowing in confusion as Leo started to explain. Leo seemed to be as confused as he was, which made even less sense considering he was doing the confessing. None of this added up much, when he thought about it. Hikaru let Leo continue his thought, one hand running through his red hair to help him throw his thoughts back together.

The younger male felt inexplicably bad about having Leo struggle through this confession. Maybe because something about this hadn’t been sitting right ever since Leo’s confession when he’d returned from France. And now none of it was and Hikaru just couldn’t set his thoughts right.

"I guessed most of that, yeah. And I know this is tough for you to explain. But…about that night. What happened- Not during, obviously. But what started it?"

Leo was beginning to grow frustrated with himself for tripping over his words during his own god damned confession. He couldn't stop fidgeting, and he could feel his throat dry up; as if his body was expecting him to gulp down a shot of poison.

Having to explain this to Hikaru meant that he had to remember. Which was something he didn't want. He didn't want to remember all of the bad choices he'd made, and what it all led up to. He wanted to be with Hikaru. He wanted to be happy, and in love, and just forget about all of the meaningless fucking. All of the drinking that led up to the meaningless fucking.

The blonde chewed on his lower lip, fighting to keep his eyes on the red-head. He was hoping to clear things up, but it looked like Leo had only caused more confusion. It was irritating.

He was in the middle of mentally cursing at himself when Hikaru reacted, and asked him about that night. That was when Leo looked away, lifting his hand to scratch at the hairs on the back of his head. What started it? Not even he knew.

"I.... can't remember." His voice sounded smaller, and that only irritated him further.

The redhead blinked and cocked his head slightly to the side when Leo pointed out the paint on his face. He had been in the middle of venting through his oil paints, so he wasn’t surprised with himself that he hadn’t noticed. He hadn’t been that offended by yesterday, so he naturally wasn’t expecting an apology. But he smiled nonetheless and shrugged when Leo kissed him on the forehead.

"Oh, sure." He nodded, making an inference that Leo came here to be serious. He had a funny feeling he was about to get more backstory on Long Wang, but he wasn’t certain if he even wanted to hear it. The shorter boy gestured for Leo to follow him to his room and shut the door behind them.

"Okay, shoot." He said once he’d exited his bathroom with a damp washcloth, plopping onto his bed to swipe most of the paint off his face.

Leo sat onto the edge of Hikaru's bed, making himself comfortable. He still had to figure out where to start off with this Long Wang business, which proved to be very difficult.

He closed his eyes and took a breath, drumming his fingers against his thigh. When his eyes opened, that was when it came clear to him where he should begin.

"Alright, so.... there's a lot I've got to tell you. Well, maybe, I'm not exactly sure at the moment." The Frenchman paused fidgeting as if he were guilty of doing something he shouldn't have. Which, he hadn't. He was perfectly innocent (although he didn't know it). "What he said about.... being friends with benefits.... we were. Were, that was like, a year ago, and...," Leo hesitated, but knew he had to be honest. "I hadn't slept with him. Until.... that night." 

Talking about this was a lot harder that it seemed.

Hikaru hadn’t taken Leo’s bad night so seriously. He was irritated and a little off-put by his attitude, but the redhead figured that there was even more to this than Leo was explaining.

Incidentally, these thoughts had kept him up practically all night. He’d tried to sleep, but most of the night was spent tossing and turning and trying to find more and more things to distract himself instead of letting his mind wear itself away about things he didn’t know.

He was in the living room brushing the last of the paint out of his hair when he heard the door. He called the maids off and headed off to get it himself.

The older twin looked like a mess. His hair was still damp from a shower and hanging loose around his face, and there was still some kind of green and gold paint spattered up his cheek and around his temple.

"First off, hi. Second, do you need a painkiller?" He sighed, stepping aside so the blond could get himself out of the bright sunlight.

Green irises flickered up once Hikaru had answered the door. His boyfriend's appearance wasn't what he had been expecting, not that he minded. He shook his head briefly to clear his thoughts and stepped into the manor, greeting Hikaru with a, "Hey, no thanks. I'm fine."

"You've got something right over here," Leo pointed out, gesturing towards the areas on his face that were riddled with paint, a slight smirk making itself known. He stepped closer towards the red-head, letting his fingers brush downwards from his temple to his cheek over the dried paint. The blonde let out a soft sigh of his own.

"I'm sorry for being such an asshole yesterday." He apologized sincerely. "You didn't deserve to be bitched at by me." Leo leaned forward to press a kiss to Hikaru's forehead, taking a moment to gently comb his fingers through damp hair.

Once he'd gotten that out of the way he took a step back. The hand that had combed through Hikaru's hair slid down the younger boy's arm to hold his own. There was so much he needed to tell him, the expression on Leo's face had already said as much.

"Listen, I want to talk to you." He breathed, gaze never wandering from Hikaru. "I want to explain everything to you about my history with L." Leo couldn't help but feel apprehensive. His relationship with Long Wang wasn't really something that could be easily explained. But Hikaru needed to know, just in case Long felt the need to mess with his head.

It was Hikaru's birthday and it was late. Leo had spent up until 25 minutes ago doing last minute wrapping-up, making sure he put the right amount of thought into this gift. Just a few items, nothing too extravagant. A few art supplies that were top of the line, a copy of a video game that the red-head had been blabbing about for months (he'd pulled a few strings to get it before the pre-orders went out), and lastly, himself. "Happy Birthday, Hikaru," He smiled softly as he handed over the gift.

Hikaru would’ve liked to have been the sappy romantic who was like: “You being here with me is enough of a gift, blahblahblah.” But he couldn’t help it. Loves Leo. Really likes gifts. “You’re the best!” He plopped himself down on the couch much like a kid on Christmas morning, smiling from ear to ear as he opened his present. He geeked out over the art supplies, bouncing in place when he unwrapped the video game. “OH MY GOD. You’re the best- You are the BEST! I love you!” He flustered throwing his arms around the blond.

Leo sat beside his boyfriend as he opened up his gifts, grinning brightly as he spectated his overall excitement. He wasn't sure if it was enough, but it definitely seemed to be. He laughed at his outbursts, shoulders shrugging as he said, "I guess I am." He squeezed his arms tight around the red-head, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I love you too."

Hey Leo, do you know the difference between making love and fucking?

"I believe I do."

"Fucking is selfish. When you fuck, you don't care about the other persons needs, you only care about yours, and that's really all there is to it. On the other hand, making love is much different. I've only learned that recently. Making love is the opposite of fucking, especially when you really love the person you're having sex with. You want to make them feel especially good. You never want to stop touching them, or kissing them, or gazing into their eyes. There's a lot of care, and emotion that goes into making love, and it's really nice to have that."

How did you start drinking?

Leo paused to recollect his thoughts, and memories from the day he was introduced hard liquor. "Well, I started drinking when I was really young. I was fourteen, and it was during a summer when I was living with my father."

He'd remembered the evening as if it had occurred only a few days ago. "We were having dinner, and as usual, I was drinking a bit of wine. The brand wasn't one I was particularly in favor of, so my father waved it off, harping on about how I was old enough to try the 'hard' stuff. So, that was when he'd introduced me to vodka."

The Frenchman made a face, remembering his father's smile, how he didn't hesitate to pour his fourteen year old son a glass of alcohol for him to try. How much he'd insisted that he'd give it a try. "I remember it not really having a taste, but it burning in my mouth. I guess I'd expressed that somehow, because my father was just laughing."

He could still hear that same laughter ringing in his ears as he continued on, "After that came a really nice, warm feeling in my stomach, followed by a sense of relaxation. I remember looking up at my father telling him that it wasn't bad at all, aside from the burning."

Leo could still picture the proud smile his father had worn, the feel of his hand patting his back. It was the first time his father had ever praised him for anything, and nothing had been odder than him glorifying under-age drinking.

"After that, I never really stopped drinking it. Felt like crap in the morning, but even after having experienced my first hangover, I never vowed to never drink again. Vodka really does relax me, call it a comfort item, I guess." He gave a shrug of his shoulders.
