The shop called "Book's" is quiet, this afternoon not long after Christmas. The place smells of paper, parchment, ink, book glue, and, faintly, of apples and nutmeg. Dust sparkles in the air.
Luciana walked in and took a deep breath, taking in the atmosphere. When she thought she’d felt enough with her non-senses, she decided to use her actually senses and look around, a grin beginning to form.
“You’re in the aisles in Book’s bookstore. And it is pretty scary.” Ciana slowly stepped all the way around the corner. “I’m trying to find my way out too.” She held out her hand. “Want to come with?”
He hesitates, looking at her hand. “You know where is out?”
“I don’t know where out is yet, but I’m still looking. Would you wanna help me? It won’t be as scary if we’re together, right?”
He looks at her from under beetled brows for a moment, then nods. “Okay.” He reaches out and takes her hand, which looks like a child’s compared to his massive mitt.
Ciana gives his hand a gentle squeeze, and turned toward the direction the large man had come from, keeping an ear out for any more whispering. “Have you been in here long? What’s your name?”
“Me am Grong. Who am you?” The big oaf is still looking around timorously, but he seems to be calming down a bit with the company. The shelves around them still murmur their bookly secrets.
"I'm Ciana. Nice to meet you! I walked in here to look around and got good and lost. But we're both gonna make our way out real soon, right?" She continues to lead a ginger pace through the Stacks, turning to smile at him when she spoke. A closed lip smile, very specifically. No sense in bearing fangs at someone already nervous.
