My favorite part of learning of how Henry Creel encountered the Mind Flayer was when he faced his fears of the cave and was shown what he tried so desperately to forget. Then Will “The Sorcerer” Byers gave him the chance to redeem himself, but said fuck it because even though it wasn’t his fault, why would he trust the man who dismantled his leg. He then died for the Mind Flayer by the hands of Will Byers.

….And Joyce’s beautiful beheading.

(okay, I’m joking with a good bit of that)

But he obviously realized even if he could be redeemed, he couldn’t live in a broken world — one that failed him or one that he failed. So, of course, he gave his all to the Mind Flayer as that was all he’s ever known.

All in all, give Jamie Campbell Bower a freaking Oscar for this insane performance of Vecna/001/Henry Creel/Mr. Whatsit!!

I have a genuine question: Why can’t fandoms — and I mean ALL fandoms — be sane, polite, and respectful individuals? Like??? You have NO right to stalk, harass, invade actors, wrestlers, public figures or celebrities private lives. You are a FAN — you do not know them personally. Please just stop before you ruin the good one’s chances of meeting and or speaking to their idols/faves.

I’m some 53 years old and I’ve seen and been in a lot of fandoms in my time. Most people are normal but then you have some who are balls to the walls cray. Gatekeepers, mean girls, mean boys, etc. I’ve known some that actually stalk other fans.

The meanest, mean girl fandom I’ve ever been in was for Duran Duran in the 80’s. Now we were all basically the same age back then. Now, you have fandoms for younger actors, actresses and musicians who are older than their object of obsession and they are absolute bitches. The LOTR movies fandom in the early 00’s was an absolute nightmare. Young mean girls and boys don’t really grow up. They just mean until they turn to dust.

Oh god it was just as bad in the 80s too!!?? Like, I just joined the Stranger Things / Jamie fandom and I’ve met some not nice people. And gate keeping is insane because wouldn’t you want your fave to have more fans?? Like I don’t get it.
