INTRODUCING SAMANTHA “SAM” MANSON. A HUMAN FROM AMITY PARK.
Sam Manson was born into a wealthy family. Her family inherited a fortune of money after her great-grandfather invented a machine that wrapped deli toothpicks in cellophane. Her parents were the polar opposite of her. Whereas her parents were bubbly and optimistic Sam was much more reserved and looked at things from a different perspective.
Her parents were socialites and were not afraid to flaunt it. They had all the money they could ever want and more. They turned their basement into a home theatre and bowling alley and had a staff at their disposal to do menial tasks around the house. Sam always thought it was ridiculous and was actually embarrassed by them. From a young age she did everything in her power to hide her background. She never had friends come over and never talked about her upbringing.
Early on in life Sam knew that she wasn’t a typical kid. She didn’t like frilly dresses or dolls. In fact she was the kid that ripped her dolls’ heads off and put them back on backwards after cutting their hair off. Her parents thought she was odd, but they do love her.
As she grew into her teen years it was evident her interests were not common. She enjoyed scary movies, any sort of occult or horror fiction, anything sci-fi as well as anime. She was often teased for her interests or the way she dressed, but she didn’t give a single fuck. She was confident and her attitude usually scared the bullies away.
As she’s grown up her style has changed a lot. She still considers herself a goth, but more corp-goth than anything. If she’s going out though fully expect her to dress is up. She likes to wear jewelry as a subtle ode to her true gothness. (Is that even a word?) She still has a few pair of demonias, of course, and does her best at a dark makeup look.
Being a YouTuber was not something she ever expected. She didn’t really care about fortune or fame like her parents did, and she never expected her channel to blow up like it did. She thanks Danny for that. Her channel has quite a few subscribers and views and she does gain royalties from it, but she would never admit she’s a trust fund kid that never had to worry about money. She told her parents she didn’t want the money, that she could work for it herself, but after her grandmother talked to her Sam decided otherwise. The money would be nice if she ever was down hard. She rarely uses the fund, mostly using the money she makes from YouTube, but does dip into it from time to time.
Speaking of Danny, he is her best friend in the whole entire world. And as much as Tucker can get on her nerves from time to time he holds a slot as a best friend as well. They are her ride or dies and she would do anything for them.
Sam has always believed in the supernatural so on that fateful day so many years ago the unseen became real. She opened the ghost portal that caused Danny’s DNA to be merged with ectoplasm. She thought it was pretty cool, but did feel guilty. She released ghosts into Amity Park and after that day it was her, Danny, and Tucker fighting them off with Danny’s parents technology. They still do to this day to keep the place safe. They’re sort of like silent, underground vigilantes.
Was religious growing up but has since found she believes otherwise. Seeing the weird things she has she knows there’s more out there than what she was told as a child. She has dabbled in the occult but isn’t super serious about it. It’s more like a hobby/interest than a religious affiliation.
A very hardcore vegan and has been since she was a teen. She often protests the use of animal products and was part of the environmental club in high school.
A Taurus sun, Aquarius moon, and Capricorn rising. Her zodiac is like apart of her identity.
Bisexual af. Her interests in people are all over the place. Uses she/they pronouns.
Has multiple tattoos and is always wanting more.
Thinks smoking is disgusting and bad for the environment. Has smoked weed though but doesn’t make a habit out of it.
