just dropping by to let you know, that i have been listening to your 'god must hate me' robby edit for the last 6 days straight - it, and many of your hucklerobby edits, have been a huge help to me while i draw, because everytime i don't know how to draw these two i can just pause the video edit and stare at their faces haha

Edits have never really been super compelling to me but yours are so clean and well made and beautiful? Like I got a little emotional over some characters from movies I haven't seen?? You've got some impressive skills and talent keep it up! c:

Hiiii your bloodymary edits are sooo cool and impressive 😍! I was wondering how you “create” new dialogues for Rocky? He pronounces Simon’s name so naturally in your edits! Is it just a question of dividing the syllables of words he’s said and putting them back together to form the words you want? How hard is it, do you sometimes think “I wanna make him say this…” but then upon trying you’re like “oh ok that’s impossible, let’s reformulate”??

hi!!!! thank you so much 🥹 that's not actually rocky's voice at all when he says simon's name!! i used yarn.co (a website where you type in a word and it gives you a bunch of clips from movies/shows that have said that word). i found someone saying simon in as similar of a tone as possible, added high-low pass to make it sound robotic and that was it!! (it's also what i did in the edit where simon yells grace. that's the dude from manifest yelling grace's name💀)

Do you have any tips for someone who wants to try making crossover edits?

if manips are too challenging, sometimes just scene matching is enough!! go through the movies and find scenes that might match together, then colour grade them so the colouring is similar (using colour balance effect or lumetri colour in after effects)

also try and find voice lines that might mix together from both movies. remember they don't need to be on screen saying the voice line, you can always overlay a clip from a different scene and then switch to the part where they're talking (eg: grace is saying "hello my name is grace" but for the "hello my name" part, it's over the top of a clip of rocky. so just cut that out, replace the rocky clip with a clip of grace on the beach or something, then for the "is grace" part, just use the original clip where grace is talking!!l)

if you want to do manips, look into rotoscoping in after effects. it's by far the easiest way of doing it!!

hi, I love your fan vids! and I hate that I have to ask this, but given the current landscape of the internet it feels unfortunately necessary. how do you make the videos? more specifically do you use ai?

I hate asking this cause it must be horrible to hear it if you've spend time and effort making the videos, but I'm not great at detecting ai on videos and I just like making sure

no ai at all!! i use rotoscoping on after effects, and to color grade i use the lumetri colour effect

if anything i take it as a compliment that my manips can be mistaken for ai cos i know they're not perfect 💀💀 it's okay to be wary though!!
