No one was paying any attention to Fiona, and that suited her just fine. With everyone crowding into this central kingdom Fiona had made a small killing in petty thievery. After all, when doom and gloom are nigh, no one is paying too much attention to their purses. Fiona had been snatching coins, jewels and heirlooms from people’s bags and pockets the whole journey here, and now this new kingdom held even more promise than the last she was in.

She had just pocketed a bracelet of someone she pretended to bump into when she felt a prickle down her neck. I’ve been seen. As she turned to glance at the eyes that had finally spotted her, she turned her heel and was about to rush away

Bella let out a sigh. There were too many people here, and she just wanted to get to the food, but these people were walking so slow and close together. Usually she could just weave right through. In her snail speed walking, she noticed a stranger reach into someone else’s bag. “Hey-” she started. The girl saw her, and turned around. “Wait!” Bella called, pushing through the crowd, “What do you think you’r doing?”

“Does anyone want to go find a fair or an amusement park? I really want to ride a roller coaster.”

“How haven’t you? They’re all over the city.”

“Maybe they just haven’t told me?”

“That’s a bit of a coincidence, isn’t it? Wait, so you were basically a vampire? How - what, I am honestly speechless right now, I don’t even know how to deal with this.”

“I haven’t actually told anyone, but I think so. I couldn’t be in the sun. I wanted...people’s blood. I don’t really know how. Some say it had to do with magic, but I’m not sure how I feel about that. Luckily, you don’t have to deal with it. It’s over.”

“A blast? More like a handful half the time…what’s the safest way to go about jumping over this then? I’ll follow you!”

“If you’re new to this kind of thing, you might want to get a running start,” Bella chirped and leaped over the creek. “Come on. Even if you fall in, it’s not deep or anything. Just wet.”

Navi took the coffee, taking a few solid gulps, and then took the water and did the same. “Do you do this often?”

Bella grabbed a straw and stuck it in her cup of juice. Sipping on it, she questioned, “What, order whole plates of bacon? Yes...I food is the best.”

Elan bowed his head and almost instinctively looked around for his step siblings or stepfather. “That’s kind of you, I’m alright at best.” He smiled. “I’m sorry if I interrupted you.. Uhm.. I’m sorry I don’t know your name

Bella shook her head a bit, “I was just passing through. It really is nice. I didn’t mind it.” She held out her hand in introduction. “I’m Bella. Bella Lightly. And you are?”

“You’re too kind. Well, not exactly. I wish that would have been the problem. It was more so when Bella, how perfect, first became...you know, when she changed.”

“I will,” Bella grinned as their drinks arrived. She slid the coffee and water to the other girl. “Could I also get a plate of bacon please. Thank you!”

“He sounds like a blast. Okay, here’s the creek I was talking about...or ditch. Whatever you want to say this is. We just have to jump over it and then we’re set to find him.”

“Please, I’m the lucky one! Without you and Woody, I wouldn’t be able to get anything done! Michael said something about that, he told me not to worry and said that he was feeling better. What happened to you? I mean, he said that he was in a lot of pain, I’m still a bit worried about him, though.”

“Oh please; I am flattered. I’m sure you would do great either way. I guess as a sister, you should be, but he would tell you if something is wrong I think. Well, this is going to sound bizarre, but do you remember the Twilight books and movies?”

“I’m so lucky to have you, Bell! Before you do that, though, why don’t you tell me what’s going on? I feel like we haven’t had that much time together recently.”

“Working for one of my best friends is luck in itself. Not a whole lot going on here. Life’s quiet. Except for this one week, something really odd happened and some of the people here got these weird symptoms. Myself included. So did Michael, but you were really busy so we got it sorted out somehow. It was definitely an adventure though.”
