underwater set is hype as all fuck ive weanted this for years. zhalfir and what i can only assume is a kamigawa kaiju set could be Great or Racist. either way theres goiong to be another marvel set and i can only assume like. Super Mario and Rugrats full sets so i have absolutely no hope overall

it sucks that Magic will always be this thing I am intimately familiar with and have an overwhelmingly amount of knowledge about, but has moved entirely to the margins of my life. I have other hobbies and purpose in my life. It's not the end of the world. It just hurts to lose something that's been so important to you for half of your life, not because you gradually grew apart from it, but because it became abruptly and irreversibly drowned in sludge.

In early 2026, one of the printers used to print a run of Pokémon Trading Card Game Basic Energy cards wasn’t properly cleaned before being used for printing Magic: The Gathering Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander decks. This resulted in at least one run of the decks having a faint layer of ink showing the blacks from Basic Energy cards.

For some bizarre reason, sorting by set on the Gatherer gives you the sets in alphabetical order, not by release. There is no release date sort.

RIP Ron Spears

Ron Spears, one of Magic's most iconic artists, passed away on Monday from complications of a brain tumor. Ron's art spanned decades and multiple eras of Magic, and depicted legendary characters and even players throughout Magic's entire history. He had just produced art for cards released in Lorwyn Eclipsed earlier this year.

Ron will be greatly missed by the Magic community.
