Synopsis

A artificial vessel made from the souls of the last flock rises to life after a deal is struck between it’s primary entity and the god of death. Reborn with a taste of blood and vengeance, Memento begins a cult made to topple the 4 gods that rule the lands;

Through the devotion and faith of their loyal followers, Memento intends to release the One who waits from their slumber and restart the cycle anew.

Beyond the Sacred Circle is a Au that is a mashup between Fnaf and Cotl. It follows Memento and their journey to awake the God of Death from their eternal slumber via collecting the 4 seals that binds the god to Limbo. The setting is the Lands of the Old faith, an isle that was shaped by the 5 first gods and is sealed off from external contact with the outside realm due a ritual to contain evil.

Conceots for Glamrock Freddy’s new design. I don’t particularly like the old one anymore, it’s doesn’t fit the direction his character is going in. Although these concepts seem more in line with his appearance when he was younger (pre-god massacre)

Glamrock Bonnie

V.1

The most mysterious one of the 4 bishops, Bonnie keeps to himself and tends to priorities his cults needs over others. He is seen as very cold and cruel, often using heretics in unethical medical experiments. Bonnie leads his cult using fear and surveillance, causing his followers to fear even the meer mention of his name. His cult strongly believe in the idea that they are impure and only by disease and pestilence can they cleanse themself of this impurity. Despite this reputation Bonnie himself is quite cowardly, having others deal with problems that he may or may not have caused and escaping situations with his nimble nature. He is quite manipulative and mischievous, toying with his disciples and followers for his amusement.

First Arc

The entirety of Anchordeep is plunged into decay, the heart being Pestilence’s own temple. His disciples that Memento faces are twisted into monstrous forms and hold only little of their sentience, being mainly driven by fear and panic. When Memento gets to the heart of the decay, they find themselves face to face with the corpse of Bonnie being piloted by the decay. His infection had reached the advance stages of decay even with his effort to stale it, his body now only a puppet for the will of the decay.

However, after Death is defeated and once Montgomery is able to travel around, he makes the harsh journey to the temple. Bonnie’s body is gone with the decayed crown of Pestilence remaining. There is little trace of were Bonnie could of gone, Montgomery could only spent little time at the temple due to the effects of the decay and therefore was unable to librate Pestilence from the decay.

This discovery as been noted down as Bonnie being MIA as a vessel’s body must be correctly dealt with or they can come back in a limbo like state.

Here’s a concept of full sin Monty. Sin works without a crown as his body is stored inside Montgomery himself, seen as a hivemind having access to the eyes of all other sin but because they all originated from him so in a way are parts of him that can rejoin his mass.

Glamrock Freddy

V.1

The oldest and most mature of the Old Faith, Freddy was the one who constructed the Old Faith and is the one with the most military might. His name and presence strikes fear into mere mortals, some even believing that he has eyes and ears everywhere. He may seem intimidating and very cruel to most, but in reality (if you’re a god at the very least) he is quite kind and accommodation to others. The others gods tend to often go to him for his knowledge and experience to aid in whatever ails them. His personality balances out Wars more cold and calculated behavior, being more welcoming and hesitant when it comes to deciding. However he is more stern when it comes to his followers, having the belief that discipline is a excellent quality for all followers to have. His cult is very extensive but well organized, everything working like a well oiled machine.

Second Arc

Due to some unseen factors, the ritual was not at it’s full strength which Death took advantage of. This makes the chain War holds obsolete, pushing his first appearance into the second arc in the snowy mountains. Freddy was betrayed by divinity and taken prisoner by the free-pack, being to weak due to his emotional state to stop this from occurring. Marchosias performs an icon-clast ritual on him, shattering War’s crown and causing Freddy to enter a state of instability. Gregory was able to free him from the free-pack before they finalized their ritual which would of been the consumption of Freddy’s body, killing him. With the machinery that had been bolted into him, he didn't t have complete control of himself causing him to enter a bloodlust frenzy when in highly stimulating environments. During one of these was when Gregory was able to get Memento’s help and Memento was able to free him from this cycle (with great effort).

After this incident, Freddy is very skittish as he is very vulnerable to harm in this state. With his crown shattered, he doesn’t have access to all of his abilities and have lowered mental capacity causing him to forget much easier and being unable to perform complex task he once could.

Montgomery Gator

(V.1)

The involuntary God of Death, chained to the depths of Limbo in the antechamber. He guides and aids Memento through the lands of the Old Faith in return for his freedom in the end. He very remorseful for putting Memento into this contract even if it was prophesied and nothing could of stopped the acts that lead them to the current events. His tone and voice is hoarse and weak from years of non-use but he gives Memento useful information to overcome whatever obstacle is in front of them. His body is broken and mangled from the torse down, only being able to move via dragging himself with his hands. Red hair tends to obscure his face as it grows out of his original short hairstyle.

In his bond with Death, his conscious is rarely presence; overpowered by the manic and detached mind of Death himself. Death is more aggressive and harsh when speaking to Memento. This split of conscious can be physically seen as the crown of Death behaves malignantly, spreading across Montgomery’s face as each chain that suppresses Death is broken.

Pre-Sealing

Montgomery was found passed out on the beaches of Anchordeep by Bonnie, immediately sticking out as Alligators are not native to the Lands of the Old Faith. Bonnie decided to take care of Montgomery, curious about his existence and sudden appearance. He is very stubborn and at first rebels against every command, over time mellowing out as he gets used to his surroundings but still keeps his stubbornness. However when it came to Freddy, he never mellowed out around Freddy as he saw the bear potential threat despite somewhat admiring the God (Freddy’s demeanor around Montgomery didn’t help with the gators comfort around him). Montgomery was known to have this persistent paranoia, as if something or someone was watching him. This paranoia only got worse once he showed symptoms of decay.

During Sealing

His stubbornness and energy are no longer present replaced with distress and this deep sorrow. Being alone with only guard dogs to keep him company in the depths of Limbo had a lasting impact on his demeanor. Montgomery still has his anger issues, but being harder to provoke due to his lack of energy and motivation. His body is in a state of constant repair trying to heal from the major wounds he sustains, but the suppressive effects of the antechamber make this a sisyphean task. He lacks one of his original arms due to the decay rapidly vaporization during the sealing ritual, corroding his arm and center of his chest in the process.

Post Sealing

After Death’s attempt in breaking a rift through to the mortal place, Montgomery was in a comatose state for a while, receiving the crown of Conquest during this time. Once he woke up, it took months to regain his mobility, using a wheelchair for a good amount of time and still presently having to use walking aids every so often. His wounds never fully heal, having a mechanical arm replace the arm he loss. Once he was in good-ish health, he took over the crusading from Memento. He makes strides into Anchordeep to stabilize the decay that has overtaken the region, being immune now due to awaken Sin.

Memento

A artificial vessel made by the cult of hares for the purpose to break the seal that contains The lands of the Old Faith. They are made up of the souls of the last flock of lamb, a species that was terminated to keep The One who Waits in Limbo. However, Memento’s death allowed Death to commune with the lamb and strike a deal which sets the course for the first Arc.

Memento themselves are quite kind and relaxed when it comes to commanding their cult, believing in showing their strength rather than telling. However they are very unnerving and ruthless to heretics and will use them as an example to any whom stand in their way. Throughout the story, Memento gains more and more of their humanity and flesh after consuming the heart of heretics. Growing stronger and more adept to their role and abilities.

First Arc

Memento is quite naive about the isle due to her mortal life being one of fear and constant movement. Her memories are fuzzy and blurred with the other inhabitants that the vessel holds, which both aids and hinders her quest. Unlike the Bishops, Memento builds close connections to her followers and tries to understand each one of her followers.

Second Arc

Tired and traumized, Memento is pulled back into the Bishop-slayer role she held 5 years ago as a familiar voice beckons her to the frosted mountains. She is much more mature and pessimistic than before, having to deal with the drama and problems both Roxanne and Chica bring after she returns them to the land of the living.
