Welcome to the one and only OFFICIAL Beyond the Seam ask blog! Here, you can ask (what is planned to be) each and every character in Beyond the Seam, my overly detailed MSM AU project. I invite you to ask the characters any question you might have about their lives, their world, or even their relationships (if they have any!)
There is a format I would like for you to use: in the Character List there is an emoji next to each character's name. In the beginning of your ask, please put that emoji in parentheses so I know which character it's directed towards. It would look something like this:

CHARACTER LIST
(sorry, itās a bit long. There are a LOT of characters in BtS so far!)
THE M.C.
Siobhan (š”ļø) - The main protagonist of Beyond the Seam. After a particularly bad encounter with the Dissonance she was āadoptedā by Zariom and Koda, and currently lives in their cabin, but often leaves for long periods of time. Sometimes she wakes up as a completely different monster than she was before and has no idea why. Sheās very desensitized to weird things like that happening, but only now in the story of BtS has she begun to question it.
THE BAND (And related characters!)
Zariom (šŗļø) - Brushmammott cartographer, Plant Island native. Short even for a Mammott (they average at around 4.5ft or about 1.4m). Has piebaldism, very noticeable in his brown summer coat. Nearsighted and wears glasses. One of the bandās two main vocalists, a bit dramatic for a Mammott.
Koda (š») - Indigo Bowgart luthier. Both her parents are well-known luthiers in Bay Canopy, the rural Brushlands town where sheās from. Sheās inherited their luthier shop and works as the clerk there (she kinda hates it). She is also the bandās bassist.
Beida (š¹) - Floerider Pango, lives in a very remote town in the northern Frostlands, surrounded by permafrosted tundra and the midnight sun. However, she is well known in her isolated town for being a piano prodigy. She is quite tall for a Pango, standing at about 6.5 ft or almost 2 meters.Ā
Eva (š¤) - Magenta PomPom, trainer and former soldier for her moderately populated Upper Breezelands town of Sunroost. Siobhan sees her as her second ābig sisterā figure besides Koda. A bit of a folk hero amongst her peers. Primary vocalist for the band and is seen as the one that keeps them all together.
Halli (šŖ) - Firewing Tweedle, delivery-mon who originally lived with Eva for a while but due to an unforeseen disaster he had to move back to Water Island where he came from. Has a fantasy writing hobby that he is much more passionate about than his job. The bandās woodwind specialist, especially in the clarinet.
Marlix (šŖ) - Frillback Hoola. Name pronounced āmar-LEEā. Former lead dancer at the Club Box in its early days, now not doing as well as she was a couple decades ago. A bit aged, sheās losing her red, grey furs are poking through, and her pelt isnāt as well-kept as it used to be. She acts as an aunt figure for Eva, whose parents were often too occupied with fighting the Dissonance to care for a child, and as a result Eva became her main motivation to keep going.
Alric (š²) - Rusty Drumpler, professional former royal cook for Plant Islandās sovereignty, now operating her own restaurant in Earth Island. LOVES experimenting with food, more than anything (except her adoptive family). Very well educated in the culinary arts, has gone to maybe 3-4 colleges and has the Harmonic equivalent of a PhD in Gastronomy. Knows Tawkerr personallyāor at least used to. Used to be in another band when she was younger and is now this bandās percussionist.
Scoria (šø) - Valkyrie Kayna, acoustic guitarist for the band. Used to live on Earth Island for work before she was forced to return to Mt. Valkyrie to protect her family and hometown from the Dissonanceāand also, oddly enough, industrializing Wubboxes trying to buy up their ancestral lands. She now has no time whatsoever to pursue music as her only focus is keeping her people safe and free.
Ruvin (š) - Calico Congle, swim teacher, former brass player for the band. After the band broke up he decided to pursue his passion of teaching and joined a swim school for monster children. When not at his job he can be found reminiscing in his ādenā, a little hideout away from his castle room on Saffron Island northwest of Fire Oasis. He has an odd interest in fragranceānot surprising for a monster, since it is one of Harmonairās six Tenets of the Arts, but a bit unusual for a monster like him.
THE āBOX SQUADā
Marble (š®) - Wubbox Paladin and big sister of Mack. Former low-rank soldier during the Great Thunderādeeply traumatized from what she saw during her service, especially at the Ruins of Starhenge. As a result she vehemently avoids any environment that could remind her of that experience, mainly deserts and dry ruins. As a Paladin, she had an unexpected job as a field nurse (mechanic?) and now uses that knowledge to operate a Hull Shop with her little brother, who specializes in body mods. She always wears a lantern on her hip made from pieces of metal that she found while at a scrapyard with Mack.
Mack (š¼) - Wubbox Cleric and little brother of Marble. As the only member of the Box Squad whoās been across dimensions into the human world, his art is very influenced by what heās seen. He even got a cassette player modded into his reactor (where a stereotypical Clericās record player would be). Aside from his and Marbleās Hull Shop in suburban Plant Island, he owns a ramshackle chain of Wubbox supply stores he calls the āWub-Stop Shopā. Heās a huge fan of human alternative music, especially shoegaze. Itās quite hard to find him without his favorite cassette installedāMy Bloody Valentineās Loveless.
Data (š¼) - Wubbox Intercontinental Ranger, or āContieā. A bit younger than the rest of the Box Squad. Formerly a ācomputerā for a vault outpost during the Great Thunder, which caused great damage to their physical and mental health. It also caused them to become mute except for some quiet, BB8-like whistles, and because of this they talk in morse code. After a good bit of rehabilitation, they wanted to pursue a path that focused on their physical abilities and seeing what Harmonair had to offer, so they became a Ranger. They find their new job as a Contie very satisfying.
Sprocket (šØāš) - Wubbox Bulwark. Chief of the Lower Plant Island Fire Squad. Heās not the best at managing their resources and finances, but he is highly respected by his crew for being a good leader, so he keeps getting put back into position. During the Great Thunder he served as a soldier of high rank āprotectingā the Brushlands Vaultāalthough he knew the truth all along. He never had to fight head on but just being in the military during that time gave him immense regret that he still carries.
