Protecting bees from pesticides just got easier with the release by Oregon State University of a smartphone app that farmers and beekeepers can use to consult a publication when they’re out in the field.
OSU hopes to find a balance between controlling pests and protecting bees.
Our annual bike tour is coming up this month! Meet @ Mountain Rose Herbs @ 10:30am....We have created the “Love Your West Eugene Wetlands Bike Tour” on Saturday, June 4th. The bike tour will begin at Mountain Rose Herbs across from the Stewart Ponds wetlands at 10:30 am. The bike tour will go along the Fern Ridge Bike Path leading into the “We are Bethel” Celebration at the Peterson Barn Community Center. We will be handing out free helmets and raffle tickets for folks to win prizes. Beyond Toxics will be tabling at the “We are Bethel” celebration where they will have music, activities for kids, and many booths.
