I just finished reading The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and now I am too stunned to pick another book to read. Do you ever feel that way when you finish a book? I think they call it a "book hangover." That's how I am feeling at the moment. The book took me by surprise and it earned a whole 5 stars from me! Do you have any recommendations on what I should read next? Or maybe TV shows, movies, video games? I need something to keep me occupied while I have all of this free time. If it helps, I love romances, thrillers, mysteries, horror, just about anything, really!

not even sure the last time i sat and properly read something, but i should again and i think i read that, but might need to again to fully remember things. a book hangover? interesting, i'll keep that in mind. had one of those before, for sure. last book i remember readying was to kill a mockingbird, show was nailed it, movie was locked and video games i haven't really done much of myself.

that's great, so great, man. i think it makes you one hell of a couple and team to like - really up to in a way. yeah, well, we all have our days but you get through it and make it work, no matter what. that's - it's real, and it's nice to see. it is, i enjoyed my few times there. yeah, well, i'll trust you two know the right time to bring her up and all that. not really. i'll work out details and go then, i think. not at the moment, so might get a trip in while i can.

it's that time of the year where i go overboard on every holiday that comes our way. halloween is a few weeks away and my home looks like it's throwing up spiders, witches and ghosts. so, if you happen to come by, be careful of the webs strung up strategically throughout the rooms. then thanksgivings is right around the corner and i'm so ready to be able to put out all the cute turkey-esque things i've gotten lately. and finally - christmas. the lights. the cold weather. the hot cocoa. i'm dying to be able to get out my sweaters and boots. go skiing. ugh, i'm ready for it! tell me all about how you are going to spend the holidays this year. with family? friends who have turned into family? on your own? i want to hear about it!

Sersh knows that I'd love to, so as soon as she says the word, we'll make it happen. 'Til then, I'm pretty fecking happy with the homes we've got together already. London's alright, it's full of so much culture and history, I'd be mad to say I dislike it. But like I said, the mountains are always calling to me. In the meantime, ye planning on travelling anywhere else in the near future? I know ye like a wee bit of travel.

mostly just trying to figure out what i'm doing, a bit of work here and there. i'd like to think you're doing more interesting stuff though? i mean, isn't the new wicked coming out like next month?

Vanessa just shook her head. "Well, as I said he will be here soon and you can wait for him at the cafe if you wish" she responded with a shrug of her shoulders. She really didn't understand what the big deal was. Plus nobody was forcing him to participate. She asked and he accepted. It's not like it was forced upon him. She arched an eyebrow when she noticed his expression but said nothing. "For not reading the email? It's OK I guess" she responded. Was she playing dumb? Yes. Most probably she was. At the same time she was strung along by him several times by now and she was just over it. Her time had been wasted enough on someone who couldn't commit to anything or decide if he wanted her or not. At the same time she was not going to react or throw a fit about it. She had gotten the message loud and clear and had learned her lesson.

zac gave a slightly forced smile at her repeated words, nothing she did, all just him remembering how they were last they spoke properly. "yeah, i heard. i'm good, thanks." he spoke politely despite how he was feeling inside or even how his smile came off. the sigh that felt him after was again all on him, vanessa did nothing wrong and even she knew that. probably seemed he didn't want to be apart, but getting asked, it was all he wanted, hoping for another chance with vanessa - more to explain over anything else.

"no not the email," he sighed again, and officially had to remove this band-aid entirely. playing dumb or not, she probably had a play and well, he was easily walking in and knew he'd have to explain more. "i'm sorry about - about us. how i invited you to a wedding, we had this date at my place and were trying and then i -" his voice dropped off for a moment as he looked down instead of directly at vanessa. "then i kinda ghosted again." zac's voice got low, but was still able to be easily heard, just him feeling truly bad over what he did.
