167 - Socket Head Screws
I was trying to pick a bolt size for something and put together this gallery. 3/8, 1/4, #10, #8, #6 and #4.

167 - Socket Head Screws
I was trying to pick a bolt size for something and put together this gallery. 3/8, 1/4, #10, #8, #6 and #4.
166 - Stained Glass Digital Image
I saw a t-shirt with a "crossed lines with colors filled in between" style and decided to mess around in Inkscape. This isn't exactly what I had in mind when I started, but there you go.
165 - Skedoodle
This one of my wife's old tools that my kids inherited (We were an Etch-A-Sketch house when I grew up).
164 - Big Stars
Grabbed this free music card at Starbucks and wanted to do something with it after getting the number off the back.
163 - Bubblewrap
Cutting the bubblewrap was surprisingly easy. The sheet between the bubbles is so thin that the scissors glided through. The trick was not slicing through the bubbles I wanted to keep.
162 - Needles
My wife got me these needles for a bookbinding project I'm messing with. They didn't really work out for that, but they can make a star!
160 - Mandarin Oranges
My girls love these canned mandarin oranges and we go through a lot of them. When serving out another can, I saw an opportunity.
159 - Shenandoah Flower
Another star shape in nature. I took this on the side of the trail in Shenandoah N.P. The picture languished for a while on the camera memory card, but I've finally gotten to it.
158 - Ice Star
A while back, my wife got me a star shape ice cube tray. I kind of forgot about it for a while, but finally pulled it out. Now I can put the stars to work cooling off my iced tea.
157 - Postcards
I like the look of the old "Greetings from" postcards with pictures of the place in the big blocky lettering. I tried a few sketches of what a postcard from deep space would look like.
156 - Remains of the Hubcap
While walking at lunch, I saw this piece of a hubcap laying in the gutter. I'm not sure how a hubcap breaks this way, or why someone would cut out the center of one.
155 - Stars in the Mist
I was cooking dinner and my wife had turned on her wax melting thingie. The light through the star cut out was making tons of beams through the steam. I tried my best to capture it and was marginally successful.
154 - Queen Anne's Lace
On the edge of our campsite was this rather star shaped bloom of Queen Anne's Lace. I got a quick sketch between hikes.
153 - Party Star
For some reason, this star was sitting in the grass in our campsite at Big Meadows. It looks like the remainders of birthday party decorations, but I can't imagine decorating a camp site. Different strokes, I guess.
152 - Stars of Lucketts
On the way to Shenendoah NP for some camping, we had to stop at the Lucketts General Store in Lucketts, VA. Here are some stars I found walking around.
151 - Collage
My wife and I got a evening away from the kids at the Newark Arts Alliance. It was a Friday Night Art Date, just for the grownups. We had a good time pawing through stacks of old magazines, drink wine and making art.
150 - GORP
A late night snack, after a run. Nothing like it!
