The heavy rains in Meheba have worsened the status of the road and as a result our only Car that serves as ambulance was stuck for over 12 hours in the mud. And it is broken. On This International Day of Older Persons, we think of the older refugees in Meheba. Amid COVID-19, the hardship they face daily goes beyond description. Besides physical decline, isolation and lack of adequate sanitation, financial limitations make older refugees extremely vulnerable. Brave Heart Foundation is working to provide warm food, hygienic items and other activities in order to fill their days with dignity and meaning. WELCOME TO BRAVE HEART COLOR RUN! There are close to 30,000 refugees in Meheba. Most of them were forced to run for their lives more than 2,000 km from Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Somalia, Uganda, South Sudan and Angola in to Zambia where they sought asylum. Brave Heart Foundation is providing them with free health care, education and self reliance in order to help them rebuild their lives from ruins. BRUKE NOE AV FERIEPENGENE TIL Å HJELPE HOPE CLINIC! På vår Brave Heart HOPE CLINIC i Meheba flyktningleir gir vi kvinner og barn traumehjelp etter at de har overlevd voldtekt, vi gir gratis livreddende helse tilbud, vi har en fødeavdeling, vi gir omsorg, pleie og mat til de eldre og våre sykepleiere jobber hardt hverdag for å redusere smitte av Corona viruset. Vi samarbeider med Zambiske helse myndigheter og Hilltop privat Sykehus som undersøker og behandler sykdommer som vi ikke kan behandle på klinikken. I disse tider er det mange som har lungebetennelse, luftveisinfeksjoner og malaria. Over 1700 flyktninger fikk hjelp i mai på HOPE CLINIC. Vi har ikke nok midler til medisiner og mangler smittevern utstyr mot COVID-19. Derfor ber vi deg om hjelp. Om du har tenkt at dette arbeidet er verdt å støtte, så er tiden nå!
