So I’m kind of curious about what kind of songs inspire everyone. Cuz usually when I’m writing I tend to listen to my favorite movie scores since it usually helps with the moods I’m trying to get out, but there’s only so many times I can listen to the score to the Social Network before I actually go crazy. It doesn’t have to be music that inspires my fellow writers either; athletes, artists and stuff are invited to reply as well!

For me, it’s definitely old school jock jams that get me going -- although if a song has the words ‘win’ or ‘victory’ or ‘champion’ in it, I’m also usually pretty pumped.

Aww, Albie, it’s almost like you don’t remember life before I was on the team, I like it. Don’t worry, I probably wouldn’t do it like, right now, I may as well finish college first and get a degree or something. Just in case I get hurt bad someday -- knock on wood, cross my fingers, all that superstitious stuff so that it doesn’t come true.

Okay, you should definitely try out for the NFL. While I’m off being royalty, someone’s gotta continue the legacy of being a badass woman and breaking gender norms.  And you bet your ass I’mma root for you the entire time, because you’re badass and if you decide to do that you’re definitely gonna get on a team. You’ve 100% got my support, not that you’ve ever really questioned if you did or not. 

Wow, try not to make marriage sound so much like a death sentence, C -- or fine, maybe that’s a little dramatic, but you’re at least kind of making it sound like a prison. I don’t think Wes is going to appreciate me very much if I end up coming and kidnapping you like within the first year of your princess-ship. But damn right, I’m a badass. I mean, if I make a team I probably would still opt out and go play basketball instead, but the world will at least know a woman can do it. And speaking of basketball... should I settle for the WNBA on that front, or like, shake things up for the men and try out for their league instead? Pull a ‘Charlie La Bouff’ on them?

So, I think it’s kind of bullshit that only one woman has ever tried out for the NFL and she probably just did it as a publicity stunt. So now I’m like, hey, I’m awesome at football, maybe I should try out for the NFL instead? I know, I know, it would be a crazy departure from basketball, my one true love, but like... I don’t know, the draft last night has me feeling kind of hyped about the idea. What do you guys think?

Tommy: If someone doesn't get milked onstage, I'm demanding a refund. This is gonna sound so lame but like, try making them with vanilla almond milk. It's a bitch move, but it'll save your poor lil intestines.

Bianca: If someone doesn't get milked onstage hopefully you're drunk enough by the second half to go up on stage and do it FOR them. Or at least like, crash their cast party and do it there. I've never had vanilla almond milk, just the regular kind in smoothies for a while until I replaced it with alkaline water, but interesting. I don't need a bitch move though but I'll be sure to pack some for you since I'm so caring that I'm sharing :-p

Bianca: No, that seems pretty par for the course. That sounds so bad though, I feel like I have to do like three shots right now just thinking about it. Are you gonna make me do them alone???

Bianca: Charlie's siblings are in it so yeah, I guess I'll go check it out. It sounds ridiculous anyway, probably better than shows that take themselves too seriously. One about cows has to know it's a joke, right? I feel like I need to drink brown cows to be on theme, though, but I'm pretty sure drinking that much milk would be worse than drinking that much alcohol.

Teddy: So! I don't know who knows this, mostly because I was supposed to send this text like a week ago. But the PSI Guys are having a Holiday Dates date party! Which means the dress code is holidays and you have to bring a date! (Or we throw pee balloons at you 🤭) The party is this Wednesday at 9pm! Obviously Halloween is dibsed by me and Annie, so good luck finding better costumes 🤞🏻!

Bianca: Dibs on Mardis Gras. I knew moving from New York to New Orleans was going to come in handy eventually.

Tommy: Okay. How do I say this lightly.

Tommy: Romi & Juliet is the worst thing I've ever had the misfortune of seeing, and I don't know how to properly express that without offending anyone since half the town was in the show.

Bianca: That IS putting it lightly. I make a habit of turning every play I get dragged to into a drinking game and this was the first time I was in real legitimate danger of puking my guts up... and that was just in the first act. I didn't stay until the end, do you think I would have ended up hospitalized if I had?

Truly. What are your plans now that you dragged your date to near-death?” 

“Of course he did! Seriously, is he like... a 94 year old grandfather reincarnated? I shouldn’t have let him get away without trying to see if I could pull dentures out of him or something.” Bianca cocked her head to the side, disbelievingly. “Oh yeah, that’s me. Forget Bianca the shotmaker, I’ve been doubling as Bianca the heartstealer all this time,” she deadpanned, rolling her eyes. At least it bought her time, because she really hadn’t had a backup plan for what to do with her evening besides just getting up to her usual tricks. They were more fun with someone else than alone, though, and she huffed, “I guess now I’m going to bother you, sorry not sorry.”

“No one.” She let out a soft laugh and she hugged her back, shaking her head and wrinkling her nose. “I mean, I don’t need him. But it’s pretty nice having him.”  Charlie let out a laugh, folding her arms across her chest and shifting between her feet, an eyebrow arching at the look on her friend’s face.  “What? What are you thinking about doing? Because if it’s what I think you’re thinking about, I’m totally in,” she paused, her nose wrinkling as she squinted slightly, “I’m also mostly blind, so you’re totally gonna win if we do.”

“Uh huh, sureeeee you don’t,” Bianca said, sticking her tongue out. “Pretty sure the last time you didn’t have him you had such a meltdown you got kicked out of soccer school, though, so...” She never missed an opportunity to tease Charlie; the whole thing had just led her favorite person back here to her anyway. “Of course I’m going to do what you think I’m going to do! And excuses, excuses. I’ll be sure to remember that I suddenly can’t see anything when we play soccer next instead of just admitting you might be a teeny tiny bit better at that one particular little sport than I am.”

How cruel,” Tommy smirked, adjusting his own mask to make a show out of getting a good look at what Bianca was wearing. “And you’re not exactly one to talk about fashion, are you?” He was just teasing, she looked fine. Getting a rise out of her was just too fun. 

“Nah, I think he managed to survive... for now. If he’d stuck around much longer, though, we might have an accidental murder investigation on our hands,” Bianca shrugged, rolling her eyes behind her mask. She didn’t usually take offense to fashion comments, but she’d actually tried tonight, and her competitive spirit didn’t let her back down. “What, am I not red and pink and lovey dovey enough for you? Or are you just scared that the basketball shoes make it too easy for me to run away?”

“Well, fuck him. He missed out on something great. But good news, now you can hang out with me through the night. So, maybe he just made your night better?”

“Boys are just distractions anyway, who needs them?” Bianca said offhandedly before hugging Charlie and laughing, “I mean, you do, but not all of us can have lifelong soulmates. Some of us were just born with basketballs instead.” Bianca’s eyes lit up mischievously, wondering if Charlie would propose her favorite past time of throwing snacks into people’s hats and things or if she had to pretend to be all civilized now that she was about to marry a prince.

“Uh... so it looks like I might have scared my date away? But come on, you can’t blame me for thinking he was wearing the fur coat just to be ironic!”
