I have never crushed on killer before this au, and I will never be the same. I love this au so much, like you don't even know. Head canon: sometimes Nightmare sends the trío to different aus to search for the most specific, remote, difficult to find object just so he can get rid of them for a long while. They always turn up half an hour later with the object, their clothes covered in blood and a couple of random souvenirs
