How did it end hits me so excruciatingly hard. I'm a therapist whose clients knew all about my partner. We broke up in a catastrophic way and every single client could tell. One gasp and then, how did it end?

It's the first time I've ever heard something that explains that deep intense embarrassment of knowing something so traumatic is going to be known and talked about by everyone. Deep in the eye of the storm trying to navigate what this reality is post mortem and everyone around you is whispering, having opinions, wanting details you can't figure out yourself. It is an incredibly humbling and humiliating experience having everyone know someone you wanted to marry is gone.
