today was awful, i worked super slowly and was distracted all morning, so in the afternoon i cracked and downloaded a focus app ahahaha hoping it’ll keep me on track

my desk is also super messy :’)) gonna have to clean it up cause i think it’s definitely messing with my productivity </33

11th of February — T-94 days

today i went through the arduous task of identifying teeth so rotten some literally fell apart in my hands :’)))

it took a long time and i LOST my pack of tobacco so i’m crying inside a little bit </33 gonna have to go find more tomorrow i guess :’)

10th of February — T-95 days

so fun fact,, when you go too fast you end up skipping ten numbers in your series which means you have a cluster of ten femur fragments in the middle of your lumbar vertebrae :| i need to slow down sometimes i guess

HOWEVER today i was TOO SLOW and did not finish what i wanted to finish so i’m >:((((

but i can put the blame entirely on the release of my first semester grades </3 i have to be honest i’m disappointed in my grades but it’s okay we keep moving

7th of February — T-98 days

the star of the show today is the pile of ribs i had to individually count and write on :’)) in total today i studied almost 400 bones, which drove me a little crazy tbh so i left early to do some sports and get my body moving :)))

6th of February — T-99 days

i spent today filling out my excel spreadsheet, which involved numbering all of my bones :’)) but honestly it was so much fun the only problem is that my pc doesn’t have enough autonomy for my to settle at each station to work,, so i have to bring the bones to my desk each time </3

i also realised that i hadn’t finished identifying some bones so i need to do that tomorrow oops

5th of February — T-100 days

a little before and after shot because today !!!! i finished the identification of my 700+ bone fragments :))) super happy !

so something that initially only took up one table has come to occupy one and a half tables :’)) but it’s all laid out clearly which i love so it’s worth the loss of space

tomorrow i need to move forwards with taking notes and recording all of my data,, i hope to be done with it in the day but if it takes until friday that’s okay too

4th of February — T-101 days

made some progress with my study today !! kinda disappointed that i didn’t finish what i wanted to buuuuuut there are roughly 700 bone fragments in this layer so it is NORMAL that it’s taking time :’))) gotta learn to be kind with myself !!!

i also made some progress on my study but this stratigraphical layer is super complex and full of tiny fragments that i obsessively try to stick back together :’)) hopefully i’ll finish tomorrow !

posting this on sunday not friday OOPS but yeah i did my second selection of stratigraphical layers and spent all of friday trying to sort through this mega layer

judging by the amount of mandibles i have,, there are at least four adults and one juvenile :’))) hopefully i’ll be able to finish this tomorrow ((fingers crossed))
