You know what your problem is? You get attached, fast. And once you’re attached to someone, you do everything you can to please them and make them happy. It’s never been about what you want, it’s always everyone’s needs before your own. You give out too many chances to people, who quite frankly, do not deserve them. They take advantage of you, and you become a pushover. But you’re okay with that, because they’re in your life and that’s all you ever really wanted. And even if they screw you over, you’ll still be there for them. Because that’s you, that who you are. Once you get attached to someone, they capture your heart and they always have a place there. And that is why it’s so hard for you to let him go.

your hard work will pay off :)
you know those days where everything is going wrong and everything feels awful and you just want to cry for a year straight?
today is one of those days.

Slow and steady (and healthy) wins the race!
Yesterday I responded to the question of how long iv taken my training seriously.
I look back at this day in August in 2011 as the start of my healthy living. I remember seeing that photo and thinking that “that’s not who I want to be”. I want to be the kind of guy who looks and feels healthy.
So I started my journey and obviously there’s a ton of faster and more impressive transformations here and on YouTube etc. the difference is that my transformation is for life. No drugs, no weird/fad diets, just trying to find my own and long lasting way to health.
I started experimenting in the gym to find what works for me. I stopped caring so much about sets, rep range, what exercises I “should” do and I cut out your standard cardio. I started doing the exercises I wanted to do (mixing it up too of course), lifted heavy when I felt like it and focused on more reps when I wanted to. I started having fun in the gym and your average soul crushing treadmill cardio was replaced with a more healthy lifestyle and most importantly - a better diet!
I didn’t get my diet in (somewhat close) order until 2012. I rediscovered veggies and fruit! That’s the key for me and I think a lot of people. Unfortunately a lot of people tend to do the short termed diets that they want to work (and they do…. for a while). They want to be told to eat bacon instead of a banana, they want to be told that butter and cheese is good for you and that they can eat as many eggs as they want. That makes for a smaller change in most people’s diet, so it’s the comfortable choice. But life isn’t always comfortable, step out of that comfort zone and you will be rewarded, I promise you!!
Sorry, I digress. Anyways, here’s me, a couple of years of living healthy. I’m about 25 lbs lighter now in 2015 than in the photo to the left but I’ve put on plenty of muscle mass. I’m so happy with the changes I made in life and a lot of the credit goes out to my awesome followers for keeping me motivated and helping me to keep myself accountable!
So thank you! And you know I always try to return the favour :)
Have a good healthy day everyone. Remember to eat your veggies!
