That second smile, admittedly, sent his heart fluttering.
That was the kind of smile he wanted to see, and the fact he was the one who brought it out, just made it even better.
Takumi’s words played over and over in his head, letting out a small grumble “Hell no, it’s gross, they’re so sickeningly sweet, don’t you ever feel like a third wheel?” really though this conversation was far from the most important thing on his mind, thinking over all his other words which just brought his heart rate to even greater heights. Arata was pretty sure he was just going to burst all over the wall soon if he didn’t get his damn feelings under control.
“You know perfectly why. I guess it doesn’t really matter but seriously, how many openly gay people do you run into? One, if you’re lucky” another topic that didn’t matter. He really needed to stop talking just for the sake of talking at this point. It distracted him from his thoughts, which were currently occupied with the sound of Takumi’s laugh, the way he covered his face.
It just wasn’t fair, why was he so damn cute?
“I’m a jerk, I know. I really need to watch what I say... Sorry Takumi” apologizing was always so hard, but he’d do it if it meant Takumi could continue to smile. At this point, he was starting to ponder on why he loved all these things about him and came to the conclusion it may as well be love in general- He still wanted to make sure though.
Arata’s eyebrow twitches as he laughs, keeping his eyes shut but giving a frown of a pout “D-don’t laugh about this, jeez. Just do it already Takumi, you can be nervous later.” but, he wasn’t exactly offended, more so upset he hadn’t done it yet and was being a big baby.
When he finally felt Takumi’s lips on his though it was like a jolt of electricity that ran down his body- He had to resist the urge of wanting to stand on his toes from the force of it; he didn’t need to get taller. The sad thing was though, it really was such an innocent kiss and he felt kind of embarrassed that he had reacted like that.
Opening his eyes he noted that both of their faces must have been bright red, eyes looking everywhere as he tried to find the words to say, anything, at all. Eventually though he realized words weren’t going to come out any time soon, and instead reached out, framing Takumi’s face.
“I-” okay well, he managed to choke out a sound, but words were to hard and instead decided that just showing him would be much easier. With a small breath he moved in again, locking lips with a sort of passion he didn’t know he had.
He just hoped Takumi felt it too.
