Quickly reviewing my Biology notes for Tuesday’s exam 💓💓
Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.

You Are Going To Have So Much Success In 2018 (pass it on)
Went for a walk around old town yesterday. There is the 727th St. Dominic’s Fair happening right now so the city is eternally crowded but in the middle of this madness there is a little vintage book shop that sells old (like 20+ yrs old) academic books and it’s every bit as magical as it sounds. I’ve bought four math books and already dived into one. Oh also thanks to @equaticns I’ve learned about Sakura Koi markers and somehow managed to find them in my city and they’re as lovely as I’ve expected. I’ve bought some Kurecolors as well and they’re a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Can’t wait to abuse (ekhem) them in my bujo 🤘🏼
January 1st 2018 is a Monday. A fresh week, a fresh month and a fresh year. If you want to start over I don’t think you can possibly find a better time.

Done with the first week of classes. Despite a hiccup on Tuesday, everything went fairly smoothly. Done with the reading for this week and next week’s pre-reading, so I’m going to go hibernate for the rest of today and tomorrow ✌🏼

I needed this.
Me too.
nostalgia is a liar. nothing was ever as good as you remember it to be. there’s a reason you don’t talk to that person anymore, there’s a reason you’re not part of each other’s lives. don’t trust nostalgia. grieve. reflect. move on.

My conclusion is: Hate is baggage. Life’s too short to be pissed off all the time. It’s just not worth it.

you know when you’re born in a non-english speaking country bilingualism is kind of a default. we are taught english from a young age so when someone asks me what languages do i speak, i respond with “well croatian and english obv, but im studying french and russian too”. and that bothers me. because english is fucking hard. in my country bilingualism is default, trilingualism is expected, and people get impressed when you speak five fucking languages where as native english speakers are praised for learning one (1) foreign language. i get that english is a major global language and why it is taught, but it bothers me that even if i spoke 5 languages fluently it would be useless if i didnt speak perfect english. and along with that, all of my hard work that i put into my english is dismissed because english is expected of me. rant over.
“my english is dismissed because english is expected of me” !!!!!!!

I’ve had a productive morning! Made it to the library pretty early this morning and started by writing up some lecture notes from my Psychopathology module, and then I did some of the reading on anxiety disorders and PTSD. I get so much more done when I come to uni to study - Ellie x
