Why hello there! I am Doug, and you have made it to my layer of nonsense. I am a visual artist, aspiring author, and wannabe autodidact.

I am currently working on the zeroth draft of my first novel in hopes to bring my characters to life.

This page serves as my diary, scrapbook, and fandom space. Overall, quite eclectic. Expect no consistency except that I'm HOG WILD! I will try to tag thoroughly, so if there's something you don't like just filter it out!

I think a lot of people who are complaining about the lack of content in Paralives are forgetting just how fucking bare bones the sims 4 was at launch.

Exactly! Paralives already has such a fleshed out world. The more detailed nuances are what need to be included now. In the temptation to comparine my experience of Paralives to the Sims 4, I reminded myself that the Sims 4 experience had years of updates and expensive DLC to .

I have full faith the Paralives is going to be a vibrant and robust experience within the next couple years.

he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.

give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.

while we’re at it, give your characters congenital disabilities too, just because. give them intellectual and development disabilities. give them acquired and postviral illnesses. dare to make somebody bedbound. for me.

Once you start noticing how the incapacity to handle discomfort affects how people live their lives it's actually pretty shocking how it ruins pretty much every conceivable aspect of existence. Interpersonal relationships, romantic and platonic. Career and education opportunities. Your politics Your willingness to go anywhere. The kind of food you eat. The kind of art you expose yourself to and your ability to read it. It's never just one thing, it touches everything, and once you notice it it's like suddenly being able to see germs or something. Just this horrific catastrophe people look at you askance for screaming about. As I grow older and see what became of my friends and peers who could not learn to handle discomfort, the more I'm like. This is a genuine societal issue

Personality: Princex Ellie is dutiful when xe is in xyr royal attire, but when xe can step away from the dress, xe is a bit of a rebel. Ellie loves to put on a leather jacket and ride around on xyr hover cycle with QT holding onto xem. Sometimes xe can think xemself a little too cool for school, but QT keeps xyr grounded.

Extra details: Ellie Anne is part of a group of people in Glamriel who don't conform to the idea of there being only one gender. Xe identifies as non-singulary and uses the pronouns xe/xem instead of she/her as most other people in Glamriel. Ellie isn't alone in this, as many young people are starting to grow and question their surrounding systems. Xyr partner, QT, is also non-singulary and uses it/its pronouns.
