When the Department of Delicious Deception feels like gardening they turn to the beautiful botanical cakes and cupcakes created by Jakarta-based pastry chef Iven Kawi. Since 2013 the self-taught baker has been creating elaborately decorated desserts that look like intricate gardens of succulents and cacti. Kawi has since opened up her own bakery, Iven Oven, and launched her own line of artisan baked goods, Zoezo Bake.
