When it is time to find a new housing or office, we usually look for the best options on the Internet or call the agent we know. izzly offers its Users to completely avoid the process of Realty Search by employing Voice Recognition Technologies. From now on all you need to find a House, Office or Apartment is simply speak with izzly on a smartphone, tablet or a desktop computer. The project has already got excellent expert’s opinions. This fall it will be presented on the Web Summit in Dublin, as well as go to Israel on the DLD Internet Forum.
The idea belongs to two guys Artem Norba and Anatolii Stepaniuk. "We noticed in a proper time, that people use voice assistants like Siri or Cortana for everyday tasks more and more often. Real Estate Search is one of those problems that could be solved with the help of Voice Technologies. Last time when I was looking for housing, it took me much longer than I wanted to - I had to manually look through more than one classifieds site. The simple voice request for a housing search would have saved me a lot of time!", - says Anatolii.
During next several weeks we persistently looked for similar services being sure they have to exist. Much to our surprise, we found nothing like this. Siri and Cortana also didn’t solve the problem. All they could offer is Google search results. But the efforts were not vain; we’ve received confirmation of viability of the idea. As it turned out, this model is used in some industries. For example, logistics services, where people that are looking for trucks for transportation leave their requests and available drivers operate them. The similar model is also used for tutoring services, where parents leave requests for lessons and tutors compete for their customers.
We noted that all these sites have one huge drawback: they are complicated and use too many filters, fields, etc. For our izzly everything should’ve been easier. That’s why from the beginning we set a goal to avoid all possible buttons, checkboxes and filters. In the result we got a simple voice interface:
At first the project was aimed to solve the problems with finding rentals. But as the result of constant feedback from Agents and Brokers, it turned out that the idea works for real estate sales too. Besides that it easily handles the search for commercial buildings, such as offices, shopping areas, etc. Currently the main mission of the founders - is to save people from searching, but to leave them an opportunity to choose among the best offers.
izzly algorithms are based on Voice Recognition and real-time Auction by which the system determines the best and most relevant offers for Users. Now izzly understands English, but very soon she’ll know 27 more languages, ask follow-up questions and even joke with Users.
For us, as the founders of the project, it is important to make the process of using izzly interesting and effective. That is why we refused from advertising business model. Instead, we closely work with Brokers and real estate Agents. They are the main participants of the Auction. Notable that the absence of advertising and voice technologies cause a keen interest of venture capital funds.
