OMG!!! izzly’s going to The Summit in Dublin!
We did it! After several interviews and a few sleepless nights, we finally won the opportunity to present izzly at the international Web Summit. This autumn three lucky are flying to Dublin! Yeah!
What’s it all about?? It’s been called “the best technology conference on the planet”. But we just think it‘s different. And that difference works for us. Summit in Dublin selects the most exciting startups in the world. It is the place where companies like Uber, NEST and Vine started. And now we are happy with an opportunity to present the Ukrainian startup on Summit.
From the very beginning we understood that it is essential to speak about the project and to do that on a regular basis. We knew lots of events like Summit, but this one beats all the records on the number of successful projects and investors gathered in one place. The simplicity and ambition of izzly inspired us to get on the Summit. We believe the world just has to know about this project! :-)
For those curious who also plan to attend the event, we share how we got there:
After filling out a short application form on websummit.net the Summit officer reached us out and proposed to specify suitable time for a Skype conversation.
As we expected, by the time of the Skype call the project needs to have its site. Yet it shouldn’t necessarily be the Beta-version of the product – in our case the landing page with subscription form worked out just fine. We also concluded that it is useful to show some activity, e.g. in social networks. By the way join us – FB, TW, Angel :-)
At the interview we had literally 1-2 minutes to make a pitch. At the end of our rather short interview we were asked to send a 1-page presentation about the product. Any attempts to get some feedback didn’t succeed. As we were explained later, the Summit interviewers are forbidden to give their personal opinion.
It took us a night without sleep to do a short but interesting deck.
Soon enough we received the letter that made us literally scream and shout - izzly is going to Dublin!
We hope our experience will help someone also get the opportunity to attend this great event.
All in all an invitation got us three tickets for attendees. The summit will take place in Dublin on November 4-6 - very soon.
