Ivan Franjo-Alpha

My name is Ivan. I'm thirty-nine years old. I'm the newest alpha of the Franjo pack. I'm a security contractor. I bet I look scary to you, but trust me, I can be a kind person too.

Greg smiled. He had noticed that Ivan liked to get his opinion on topics. That was not something he was used to, outside of the business side of his gym. People always kept things short with him. All surface, nothing deep. "Would you be offended if I say you have me curious?" He asked him. "I think...I may be curious to where this goes."

Ivan didn't know what to expect, but he had hope with that smile. It only grew as Greg expressed himself freely. "Not at all. I think that's good news for me. It means you are indeed interested."

Hikari: Oh! How are you? This is Hikari yes.

Ivan: I'm doing well. What about you?

Ivan to Hikari

Ivan: Hikari right? This is Ivan Franjo

"Like me more?" It was surprising to hear, and yet it was making him smile. He didn't remember the last time he hard heard that.

"I do. What about you? Do you like me more?" Ivan put his plate down, but his eyes were still on him. It was baby steps, but every step mattered.

He knew that shouldn't surprise him, but it did. "Are you saying you like what you see beneath it?" Greg asked.

"I do." Ivan kept the smile on his face. "In fact, I may even like you a bit more. Is that very surprising to hear?" He asked him.

Greg matched Ivan's smile with one of his own. "So we are both not what people think. That's quite the predicament. What if we are not what expect to each other?" Greg asked him.

Ivan's smile didn't leave him. "I think we have moved pass that already, don't you think?" The alpha werewolf said. "We both know each other's personas and know there is more beneath it."

"I think...it is because I don't meet people's expectations? A good chunk of them say they expected me to be what they see at first, scary, very alpha, aggressive? " Greg shook his head. "I do play that persona, but it is only to protect myself and others."

Ivan didn't mean to smile. It was just odd. "So they want what they see at first but nothing deeper than that. That has happened to be a few times. They don't like the sweet man that I am. They just want the fantasy they have in mind." He said.

"Not in a romantic way." Greg told him. "I have not been able to hold a relationship for long."

"You have not?" That could be a problem. "Why do you think that has happened?" Of all the things he would have said, this was not one of them.

"I find yours interesting as well, the little that I know." IVan said with a smile. "Are you close to your family?" He asked him.

"You know more than you think. I'm not that interesting." The werecoyote said with a smile. "I'm closer to my mother than I am to my father." He was working on his relationship with his father now. It was getting better.

"Yes you are." Ivan laughed. "You really don't think you would be interesting to anybody?" He asked.

"Not at all. I think it is interesting, your background that is." Greg said. "There are some things that I can relate and some others I can't." He told him.

"I find yours interesting as well, the little that I know." IVan said with a smile. "Are you close to your family?" He asked him.

"So like everything else in this world. There is the good and there is the bad." Greg said with a small smile. "I suppose you would not return then."

"And everybody has good and bad attributes." Ivan said with a smile. "Has anything I have said made you dislike me?" He asked.

Greg smiled at that. "So you turned it around. Now they need you in a different way." Better than fighting in the front lines. He respected those who did that, but it wouldn't be something he did himself. "Did you like it?"

"I have." Ivan said with a sighed. That was a hard question to answer. "I liked some aspects about it. I liked the friends I have made, some of them are my corkers now. I liked what I learned. Everything else I didn't like."

"Oh..." He didn't know Ivan had been in the army, but that made his skills and background make sense. " How long were you in the army?" He asked.

His reaction worried him. Did he have a problem with people who serve? "I did only one tour. They don't call me anymore to serve however. They call me now to offer some of the same services that I give you." He said in between bites.

"Party games?" hat could mean anything in his mind. "They can. Are you good thinking at fast?"

"Yes, party games like quiz games." He told him. He loved to play those sometimes. "I wouldn't say I am the best, but the army trained me well when it comes to reflexes and acting quick."

"I was. Time limits make me nervous. If you put a puzzle and say I have five minutes to solve it, I will not do well." Greg explained to him. He had tried to work on it. He was better now, but he still had a lot of room to improve.

"I suppose we can't play many party games then." Ivan said with a small chuckle. "I understand however. Time constraints can really be troublesome."
